She Was My Friend

There you stood
looking like a mute
for a moment I understood
that you needed a reboot

Your appearance said other stuff
but when you opened your mouth
I seemed to be left a phase
that maybe you were reading a crazy verse

As we hang out together,
hugged and made fun of eachother
without even a simple care of bother

Even though you were my homie
many people thought I'd make you my wifey
I told them that we are just friend
yet they still thought that we are lovers

Only if they knew
that the friendship we had
was all in the past
or that we can walk
past  each other without even a wave

I'm cool with that
so I left without a fight
because I still had the memories
that would only disappear
if I had amnesia...

-to all the strangers that I once was close to
