Pregnant in Dauntless- If the war didn't happen

Chapter eleven

•TOBIAS•

They all line up in front of the mat.
"Today we will be teaching you some basic combat fighting moves." I announce.

Xander steps forward. "We?"
"Me and your other instructor,"
Just then she walks in, looking even more beautiful than yesterday. She wears black leggings and a long sleeved but quite tight black shirt.

Henri is the first to speak up. "Why didn't we meet our other instructor yesterday?"
"Because I had something else on. Anymore questions?"
"Yeah. What's your name? And why are you training initiates pregnant?"
"My name is Tris and even pregnant I could still beat your ass in a fight."

That silenced them. I get them started on punching bags, using the right stance.
I see Tris help a confused Sam stand properly and goes through the instructions patiently.

"Four?" I hear a whiny voice over all the others. Maya is standing at her punching bag waiting for me. I walk over to her.
"I need your help! I don't get it!"

This is going to be a long two months.

•TRIS•

I wake up next to four, who's fast asleep. He looks relaxed, younger even. I push some hair out of his eyes and smile when he grabs my hand and brings it to his lips.

"You know we haven't thought of any names yet," He says.
"I don't know why but I kind of think I'll now when they're born,"
"Fair enough,"

I make myself some cereal and take a seat at his table. He suddenly stands up and runs into the bathroom, puking into the toilet.
I sit next to him and rub his back.

"Maybe you're pregnant," I muse. He looks up and rolls his eyes. His skin is pale and he is sweating like crazy despite the fact he keeps saying he's cold.

"I'll train the initiates today, you're too ill."
"I'm fine!" He protests before throwing up on the floor.
"I'll see you tonight."

When I arrive at the dorms I can hear the group talking between themselves. I shouldn't have but I did.

"So what do you think of Four?" I hear Maya ask them.
"He is so dreamy! I wonder if he's single!" Zoe replies, acting like a soppy romantic from one of my books.
"He's kind of scary," Is Candor Davids answer.
"Didn't he beat up your brother?" Henri asks her. This makes me interested.

Even though I've been standing in the doorway for about two minutes, they haven't noticed.
"Who's your brother?" I ask and they all jump.
"What does it matter to you?" Zoe defends herself.
"Nothing, I might know him that's all,"

"His name is Peter Hayes," She purses her lips.
"Oh yeah, he was in my group of initiates."
"Well Four beat him up over a girl," She laughs. "He probably just stole her from him, I mean have you seen the good looks my family have?"

Oh that's rich. "Did he mention that he kidnapped and tried to kill her?"
She gasps, her mouth hanging open.

"Training starts in five minutes. Don't be late."
I'm teaching them how to shoot. When I get to the training ring, Chris and Uriah are both there with their initiates. I recognise lots of them as siblings of friends or just people I've grown up with my whole life.

"What are you doing here?" I ask them.
"We're taking our initiates out today. And you're joining us bitch. Four isn't here and you're pregnant." I roll my eyes.
"Really I hadn't noticed!" I look down at my protruding abdomen in surprise. That gets a few snickers from the Dauntless.

"Just to hang at the abandoned fairground. Meet us there in 10," Uriah explains.

The initiates arrive, early as expected.
"We're going out today."
"Where?" Aspen asks, erudite as ever.
"To the abandoned fairground. We're going to have a day off with the Dauntless initiates,"

We spend the rest of the day hanging around doing absolutely nothing.

At around 7:00 pm I arrive at Shauna's house where everyone is gathered to help plan the wedding which is in 1 week.

She opens the huge binder Christina has been working on, her eyes widening in surprise.
My phone buzzes and I look at it under the table.

Tobias- Where are you?
Me- Wedding planning with the gang.
Tobias- I feel so bad. I miss them.
Me- Well then why don't you come over. You can explain yourself to them. They'll understand.
Tobias- You're right. I'll be there in 5 x

Marlene notices me. "Who are you texting?"
She asks me, tilting her head.
"Umm my friend." I answer innocently.
"But all your friends are here." 

Just then somebody begins knocking on the front door.
"Okay guys. Don't freak out when you see who it is. Especially you." I glare at the guys.
I walk over and open the door, revealing an embarrassed Tobias.

"What the fuck is he doing here?!" Uriah shouts and they all begin to talk amongst themselves.
"Calm down guys. We need to talk to you."
I sit him down and then go back to my original spot.
"Look I'm sorry I didn't tell you this sooner..."

By the end of the story, the girls are in tears and the guys look really guilty.
"I'm sorry I punched you. I mean not that sorry but still sorry. I know you were protecting Tris and yourself." Zeke says.

"So... your real name is Tobias Eaton?" Lynn speaks up.
"No that was my name. You guys will still call me Four."

"And you know about...?" Will gestures towards me.
"Yes I know about the baby. And I'll be there,"
He reaches across and holds my hand, squeezing it gently.

"You'd better be." Zeke threatens and we all laugh as he comically raises his fists.
"I will. She's mine and I love her."
