Hello my name is Ethan. I was in a accident and I was recommended that I come to this school program to recover... mentally.
"Thank you Ethan our new program leader will be here shortly so we can can start. Ethan make yourself comfortable with everyone else."
It felt like a solitude. A few days out of the hospital. My mind feels like it is under a hurricane. And now im stuck with a group of strangers. A ghastly touch caresses my left shoulder. "Hey Ethan". I look to my left. It was slick rick, I haven't received much attention from her probably because she heard about the accident as did the whole school.
"I assume you are here because of the thing". "Umm... yeah" I responded very awkwardly. "I never properly introduced myself, my name". The supervisor calls to her,"Chanel are you ready ro start?" She smiles at me and goes to sit down in the center chair. The supervisor sits outside the circle avoiding the conversation. She is probably making sure nothing controversial is said.
Chanel starts,"Okay everyone stand up!" Words start to leave her mouth they soon become muffles. I start paying attention to her fine dark skin, her sharp curves that were sculpted from steady hands, her soft face. She was nothing more than an itching blur when i was glued to Jocelyn.
Chanel is a beautiful sight but I have no interest. I am in an unstable state. The last thing I need is love or lust.
"Ethan, Ethan! It's your turn". "Oh sorry I wasn't paying attention". Chanel smiles strongly, "It's okay, how has your day been?" I smile back,"Could be better".The rest of the session goes by quickly. Chanel gets up and locks her hands together. "This was a great session guys and girls, have a goodnight and get home safe". Everyone gets up "Thanks Chanel!" I get up and try to catch up ,"Thanks Chanel" It wasn't too late. Everyone starts pacing towards the door. I wait a little so I can leave without having to fight my way through. Chanel calls me," Hey, Ethan; you need a ride?" "Yeah, sure".
She bites down, "Yes or no Ethan". I pout, "Yes I would love a ride".She pulls the lanyard that was tucked in her shirt out revealing her car keys. "Let's go!" When we walked out of the classroom the sunlight was dying. The heat from the sun warmed my cold skin. It was a quiet walk through the school to the parking lot. When we reached the car I waited for her to open her car on the passenger side. I tried to open the car assuming it was already unlocked. I look towards the driver side she was still standing there, looking at me. I give her direct eye contact. She smiles and unlocks the car. I get inside the car and she takes a breath.
Her eyes are placed in front of her, "The biggest flaw humans have is being human." We look at each other and then she looks forward again, "It's our biggest flaw because because we have emotions...feelings.... as much as people try to place a label on themselves to describe why they act a certain way or behave is total bullshit. It's all traits of being human, that's it. Hallucinations and visions I can not explain, but i can tell you that you are normal. Managing your feelings and the way you act is the hard part, that requires one hundred percent of you to figure out what's making you feel that way and eliminate it".
"Ethan I don't know if that helped, but it feels like it might". She turns the car on,"Chanel thank you, I need someone like you to help me through this moment. I also appreciate that you aren't trying to eat me up any more". She laughs,"You're a good looking guy what was I supposed to do". "Probably introduce yourself ?". "Shut up Ethan. Where do you live ?". I keep my mouth shut. "I didn't mean shut up literally". "Oh okay, the houses on Avenue 4".
