3 weeks later. Mr and Mrs Lee stayed in Busan for an extra 4 weeks, with the thought of moving to Busan (leaving mark here though.) leaving the three alone. Today would be Monday, time for Donghyuck and Mark to continue to school.

Donghyuck awoke to the spell of burning and a child screaming in utter delight. he carried downstairs, only to see mark in the kitchen with minhyuk, and a flaming pan. At first he was scared, but soon felt his heart explode at the thought of mark with little kids, what a perfect fathe-

"what did you-"

Mark was dressed in his unform, his little sister still in her fluffy pyjamas that mark's mother had bought for her ever so generously.

"donghyuck! we um- we-"

"We tried to make breakfast!! markie is no good at cooking. not as good as you. Eggies aren't supposed to be black."

"how do you burn eggs-"

"I'm not the best at cooking okay!"

"Here, here, let me help. Minhyuk, why don't you go get dressed and mark and I will drive you to daycare."

"o-okay hyuckie!!"

The three of them rushed out to the car, finding their seats. They drove off to the daycare, making sure they gave Minhyuk a kiss on her way in. Mark watched he as she walked through the door, then turning his head back to donghyuck. he noticed a small sparkle in his eyes, almost like a single tear were to fall from them.

"i love her."

"i would do anything to protect her."

mark now felt himself choking up, he felt saddened that two perfect people had to live through a life of pain, suffering and sadness.

"come on, we don't want to be late for school."

as the two of them drove off into the distance, there was a silence between them. Not an awkward silence, but something comforting and soft. The two of them were happy together, with each other. They truly were best friends.

the two of them were walking from their fourth period to lunch, leaving the two at mark's locker.

"mark, I left my science book in homeroom, can you wait here while I get it?"

"ok."

donghyuck walked off, leaving mark vulnerable for someone to come up to him.

"Yo Lee, what's up with you."

"Oh, hey Jaemin."

"So Mark, party at your's tonight?"

"Psh, why."

"You have the biggest house and your parents are out, what better time to do it then now?"

mark didn't notice his best friend standing at the doorway of the hall the two were located in. stopping where he was, he listened into the conversation.

"you used to be fun you know."

"what's that supposed to mean?"

"after you started hanging out with the faint risk you became lame."

"psh, I'm the same as I used to be."

"you used to host parties, stay out until 3am, never do school work and fail every class."

"I'm still fun."

"I'm starting to think you and that Donghyuck kid are dating."

"Me? Dating him? Never!"

Seulbi was now next to jaemin, with the whole squad of popular brats following.

"prove it, gay."

"you know what? I'd never date some sick kid with a good for nothin excuse to get out of class, the fact that you would think I'd date a loser like him, you're wrong. he's weird, defected and not to mention, this."

"Mark what are you-"

Right after mark pushed his lips onto Seulbi making sure the whole hall saw what was happening, including donghyuck.

"I would never date someone like him- seulbi and I are dating and I'm holding a party tonight. Hear that everyone, party at mine 6pm! Don't forget to get wild!"

"hey mark?"

"yeah?"

"why don't you shout that a little louder for Donghyuck to hear?"

"what?"

"M-Mark- how c-could you-"

"oh- hyuck- I-"

Donghyuck pushed passed everyone in the halls tears falling down his face. the screams of mark echoed the halls and the sound of fast footsteps pound against the floor. wiping away his tears Donghyuck kept running and running until he was outside the school. noticing mark disappearing in the distance. he ran to the daycare where he dropped his beloved sister.

"I'd like to sign out Lee Minhyuk for today."

"Ah yes, alright just sign here. I'll go call her."

Donghyuck felt his phone exploding in his pocket and ringtone echoing the room.

"Hyuck what's wrong-"

"come on Minnie, we're going home. let's go to marks and get your stuff."

"But I don't wanna leave markie!"

"we're going. It's a long walk come on."

the two of them walked in silence and watched as the street signs crossed their eyes. when they came up on the rich neighbourhood hyuck used his key in the house.

"Minnie, go and grab your stuff I'll meet you here in a bit okay?"

"Okay, do I really have to say goodbye?

"I'm sorry, it's the only thing left we can do."

Donghyuck went up the stairs and folded all the clothes he used. he packed up his bag, and cleaned everything in marks room that he used.

walking down the stairs he stepped back into the kitchen one more time. wanting to remember his time forever he cooked something for the family. a simple meal, but enough to them to remember him.

"hyuck is I got my bag, what are you making?"

the little girl tip toed up to teach the counter as she watched her older brother work through endless amounts of food.

"It looks so yummy! is this for me?"

"some for you Minnie, the rest is for mark."

"but I thought we didn't like mark anymore?"

"no, we love him. but it's time for us to move on. it will be okay ! just us!"

"but I miss mrs soo hyunnie!"

"who?"

"markies mother!"

"I'll let you visit her whenever."

"alrighty then!"

"alright, let me package this up and we'll get walking."

hyuck and Minnie packaged up the containers and got all of their bags. Donghyuck left a note on the counter, and that was it.

'I'm sorry I wasn't good enough for you - your sunshine.'
