For all the waiting for did for the day to finally arrive, the minute it read the first of September on our makeshift calender the seconds seem to flicker by in the blink of an eye.

The whole day prior we had studied harder then I'd honestly ever cared to try, although Teal had taken the cake for most studious student before having actually ever been a student by reading through all of Hogwarts prescribed text books beforehand and when she reread it for a second time she made me do it as well.

I think it was safe to say she was freaking out more than I was about school.

We were both excited though and one of the great things about living in the forbidden forest is that we didn't have to go through the pain of public transport, we merely had to meet Hagrid at the place where the forest met the school and have her escort us to join the other first year students.

The colony had made a big fuss over us leaving, but we eventually got then to admit that they were proud of us for taking the next big step in our lives, besides I think it comforted them to know we had permission to see them whenever we had the free time to do so.

Teal and I left dressed in our plain uniforms since we hadn't been sorted, and our bags had been fully packed with things we probably didn't need but had taken anyways.

Together we made our way towards the forests edge and found a jolly Hagrid waiting patiently to escort us up to the castle.

Both Teal and I held a special place for the half giant in our hearts, for he had never once forgotten to bake us a birthday cake every year and celebrate with us.

Hagrid dropped us off at the entrance to the great hall in record time while also sparing a minute to take our luggage and place it along with the others.

As I surveyed the crowd I caught sight of the four boys from Diagon Alley, watching as they pushed and shuffled at eachother.

So with a small smile and a half formed plan, I grabbed hold of Teal's hand and mentioned to the side of my head where I spoke specifically to her spoke to her.

'I'm going to scare Sirius, watch me'

Quickly dropping her hand I crept up behind Sirius, who stood at the edge of his little group.

The other boys noticed me but when I placed a finger against my lip they all diverted their gaze in various directions so as not to give me away.

Sirius was in his own little world, too distracted to notice and so when I attacked him with tickles to his sides, he jolted and squirmed away from my touch, squealing.

The boy with the glasses cracked himself up after I had finished torturing Sirius and slung an arm around my shoulder.

I'm was fairly certain his name was James but I wasn't about to risk it for the biscuit.
