The house was soon filled with smoke the fire was spreading quickly.

Mom dad anybody help me I can't get out my door is jammed yelled max

Nicolas noticed the mirror in his room change from showing a reflection of his bed to now the inside of his closet. So, he shouted out to everyone "look into your mirrors tell me what you see"

I can't see my refection in the mirror I only see the inside of my closet he shouted it was getting hotter and the smoke became so heavy they couldn't see anything anymore. Everyone crawled to the closets when the fire made its way into the rooms. They got inside the closet it was dark they used their flashlights on their cells to get downstairs. Everyone made it to the basement door the lead to the outside of the house. They all ran across the street. The fire department was coming down the road. behind them was the kid's parents. Tonya and Nicolas Anguiano. They stopped the car and came running over squeezing everyone.

"what the hell happened?" asked Dad

"Oh my god is everyone okay?" asked Mom

The paramedics interrupted we must get them to the hospital they inhaled a lot of smoke.

They both headed back by Brisa who had coffee for everyone. Emilio had fallen asleep in the chair. The nurse was so kind to bring out a pillow and a few blankets. Mom and dad asked Brisa if there was any news. She told them that the doctor hadn't come by yet with an update. But the police have a question they were talking to the doctor. They want to ask Noelia and Nicolas about the fire. Mom was pissed her kids were almost killed in a fire trying to recover and they wanted to start asking questions. Just then there was a tap on Tonya's shoulder she turned around my apologies if I startled you, I'm detective Rosa and this is detective Christian lets have a sit over there in the corner. She pulls out a notepad and a pen. She began to ask questions like how are we doing if we could state our names. If we left food on the stove cooking if we always leaved the kids alone. Tonya started to feel fidgety. She didn't like where this was headed. She leaned forward with her arms crossed clenching a fist. Its two thirty in the morning and there asking questions.
