Sorry for the long wait! I've been EXTREMELY busy these past few days/weeks/months and I think most of you thought that I'd given up on Strings (which I haven't). Not gonna hold anyone back any longer, enjoy! :)

Kagami's POV
Was goddamit really the best thing you thought of? Seriously? I inwardly cursed myself for not thinking of something better.
The glass was stained red and the remnants of the locks were strewn across the floor. I stood beside Sasori, glaring at the floor. Stupid, stupid, stupid! My face was still bright red after the "incident" earlier and I couldn't bear to look at him.
"Are you just gonna stand there?" His voice suddenly erupted into my ears, he was making his way across the room to where the hammers and spray cans were. "Get moving, we haven't got all day." he commanded.
I moved silently across the room to where he was and started putting the tools back into the bags. Without warning, we both reached for the same one and his fingers touched the tips of mine, barely grazing but I could still feel his cool soft skin on mine.
I drew back immediately, and looked up at him only to find him staring back. He turned away hurriedly. Was he blushing? No. I stopped myself before I thought any further. But I swear I saw the faintest trace of pink on his cheeks.
"That's done." He said, breaking the silence. "We should get back to the others." He slung both bags on his shoulder and walked off ahead of me.
"Hey wait up!" I called after him. Boy he walks fast. I caught up to him and walked at his side. "Give me one of those, they look heavy."
"You really think I would let you hold these?" He said, unfazed.
"Well why not?" Irritation laced in my voice.
"You don't have the strength to break locks properly, period."
I glared at him and continued ahead of him, knowing he was smirking behind my back didn't make matters better.

We walked in scilence for a few more moments before the red haired puppeteer broke it by saying "Follow me." I stopped in my tracks and turned around, waiting for him to catch up. But to my suprise he was already behind me. "You walk like you have weights tied to your feet." He teased and walked ahead of me for the second time.
I followed his lead for a while until we reached a drab grey wooden door. "Stop," he commanded, setting the bags down against the wall. He turned the rusty door knob and with a hard push, he opened the door revealing a set of concrete stairs. He turned around to face me. I quirked an eyebrow at him "Don't ask questions and just follow me." Not knowing what was in store for me, I followed in suit.
As Sasori walked up the stairs I noticed he made an effort not to touch the rusty handrail. When he even grazed it, he would wipe his hand on his pants and continue walking. Wow that boy is a neat freak. We climbed the stairs for a little while longer until we reached the top floor and met with a similar wooden door. Sasori gave another hard push and the door opened.
Sasori stepped outside and I followed suit. The moment I stepped outside, my face was greeted by a gush of chiilly midnight air. I glanced around, taking in my surroundings. Sasori was standing to my right, hands shoved into his jacket pockets, face flushed with the cold. We were on the rooftop. With was mostly empty save for the occasional potted plant here and there and a wooden bench in the middle. I saw Sasori make his way and sit down on one side of the bench, leaving the other side empty. He patted the empty space beside him and gestured for me to come join him on the bench. I made my way over and plopped down beside him.
He turned over to face me, his dark chocolate eyes mixing in with my onyx ones. Looking at him now, I've noticed many things that I may not have noticed before. The way his hair fell into his eyes, the way he gently tilted his head to get it out of the way. His skin was smooth and creamy, blemishless and flawless. His face was sharp and angular and all his features seemed to synchonize together in perfect harmony...
I was lost in a daze when he finally said "What're you staring at?" His expression before changed into one of annoyance. I looked away immediately, hoping he didn't notice the blush that was spreading on my cheeks. "You're weird." He said flatly. "Look up." And pointed at the sky.
I tilted my head upwards and gasped in awe. The sky was a deep dark blue, only faintly illuminated by the pale yellow glow of the moon. The moon was full tonight, radiating it's pale light, looked like a giant yellow orb floating in the sky. Clusters of stars were dusted here and there filling up the sky with a river of light.
It was utterly beautiful.
But the sight beside me could rival it. Sasori was smiling softly at the sky, his hair falling into his eyes and him brushing it away. I jolted at the sudden sensation of warmth at my hand. I took a peek at it from the corner of my eye. His hand was covering mine. I shyed away almost immediately at the realizaton. What on earth was he doing? I looked at his hand again and noticing that he hadn't moved, I returned mine to it's original position.
He gripped my hand, softly but firml and pulled me closer. "Are you cold?" He asked. I shook my head. "Ugh liar, your hands are freezing." He then removed his hand from mine and put his arm around me, shrouding me in warmth and comfort.
We sat there in a comfortable scilence I felt could last forever.
