I was caught off guard by his actions and I won't let him get away with this easily.
Before he could walk further, I grabbed his wrist, but this dummy was stubborn and quick to let go. So he's playing hard to get, huh?
This time, I grabbed his wrist tightly and pinned him on the nearby wall, lucky for me that it wasn't audible enough to be heard by others. If it were, we would totally be out in this library.
My hand was still gripping his wrist and it was pinned on the wall above his head as well as his back. He didn't budge, he just stood there and did nothing to stop me. But still, he was avoiding eye contact and his face is expressionless as he bit his lower lip, and I hate it. I fucking hate it.
I gripped his wrist forcefully and scooted closer to him. I saw Taehyung wince in pain but he didn't really show it. I was getting closer and closer and I saw him gulp while his head thrown at the side, avoiding mine.
"Taehyung," I called out, but I didn't get any response.
"Kim Taehyung, talk to me." Still no response.
"Talk to me, Taehyung, or else I'll-"
"You'll what?" The way he talked was full of hatred and I could feel it.
We were so close at the moment and I could hear the heavy beats of my heart. Oh, and his eyes. His eyes were like burning fire. I hate to admit it, but they were beautiful up close.
"You'll what, Jungkook? Take the bed for the whole month? Go on, do it. In fact, take the whole house to yourself," he spatted.
"All I wanna know is why are you acting this way. You're acting like a brat than what you already are," I hissed and that angered him more.
"Well, congratulations. The brat won't be living with you now. So if you wouldn't mind, kindly let go of my wrist because your grip really hurts," he replied with a smile on his face and with all sarcasm.
"No, you're staying. And you're gonna be at my game, Taehyung."
"Oh, okay, I get it," he laughed sarcastically. "You just want me to be at your dumb game. Well, stupid. I ain't going even more."
"No, Taehyung. That's not what I mean. I just want you t-" He immediately cut me off.
"Save it, Jungkook. I won't hear you out."
With gritted teeth, he let go off my grip as he walked pass away, not forgetting to bump into my shoulder with his.
"Oh, I just wonder." He stopped in his tracks as he faced me again.
"Why are you here in the library? Is it because of me?" He questioned with playful smile on his face. "Don't get your hopes up, Tae. I came here to study," I alibied.
"Well, I didn't know you're up for studying." That was all he said as he turned his heels back and completely walked away.
Third Person's P.O.V.
Friday
It's the big game and Jungkook was still upset with him and Taehyung about what happened in the library. But somehow, he hopes that Taehyung would change his mind and be at his game right now. He needs him, I may add.
"Jungkook, you need to focus. Whatever is bugging you, set that aside," Coach Lee announced as he motioned everyone to gather around.
"Alright, boys. It's time to show those fuckers what we've got." His team gave out a chuckle as they listened all ears.
"Sehun, apply that full speed crossover we've been working out. Eunwoo, guard the ball. Stay alert around the half court. And Jungkook!"
"Yes, coach?"
"Aim for three points." Coach Lee ended with a wink as everybody cheered.
"Okay, we got this boys! Win or lose, we still got this. But you know, it's still better if we get the title," Coach Lee added. He then grabbed the ball and signaled everyone to put their hands on it. With their signature cheer, they all shouted and had their hands now up in the air.
The sound of the whistle from the referee gained majority's attention, and screams and cheers rustled over the gymnasium. However, Jungkook feels empty and numb. There was no presence of Taehyung around, no one to cheer him sarcastically, and annoy him. In short, nothing to look out as a reaction at the end of his game, may it be a teasing one or not.
He looked to the bleachers where all his friends gathered with long balloons in hand as they shake it to cheer for him. There was no Taehyung in sight and as hard as he wants to admit it, he's missing that grumpy male.
The referee signaled everyone to gather around as he said few words. Then the players shook each other's hand. Jungkook was still looking lifeless, not until someone shook his hand forcefully in purpose, making him to look at whoever that person was.
"What the fuck, man?" He mouthed. There he saw Jackson smiling oh-so snuggly in front of him. He wants to wipe that grin off his face with his fist.
"Oh, did I gripped it hard? I'm sorry, that's just how I shake, " the other male replied sarcastically as he chuckled.
"Anyway, get your ass ready to loose, Jeon. This time, you're going down." That was Jackson's last words before he turned around and proceeded to his team.
Jackson was his mortal enemy, especially in terms of Basketball. They were good pals before, not until Jackson noticed that Jungkook had gained more attention and opportunities than him. Let's just say that Jungkook was indeed good in playing, and Jackson wants to beat him. So, that's how their friendship ended.
Jungkook remained silent, he is used of Jackson acting so arrogant. For now, he just wants to see Taehyung. But neither his shadow showed up. He knew in that point that he messed up so bad.
It was already second quarter but Jungkook's team is ahead of the opposing team by 9 points. Jackson was turning red in anger because of that. He knew he should come up of ways to gain scores.
While he was sitting in one of the bleachers, he eyed Jungkook who was playing in the court and currently guarding the ball. He looked intensely of how Jungkook moves, to see if there's something he can do about it to overpower the male.

Taehyung, on the other hand, is stuffing marshmallows in his mouth as he watched Netflix.
It was kinda weird for him not to be able to watch Jungkook's game since he always does. Besides, it was the most awaited game of their school.
"Well, I'm sure he can handle himself. He'll win for sure," he added as he slouched back to the coach.
He was at Jin's place, enjoying the vibe of the four-walled room. No matter how strong his urge to watch Jungkook's game, he never budged and remained neutral as ever.
Back to the game, it was thrilling and challenging. But Jungkook and his team didn't win. Jackson had overlapped their score for about 15 points.
