Jungkook's POV
I climb out the pool and chuckle as I watch you once again run away.
I grab a towel and start to dry myself off before taking a quick shower and getting dressed.
"Ah" I sigh pushing my wet hair away from my forehead before going out the same door you just ran through.
You were going to be the death of me.
It was really easy to read you sometimes and I knew the scene caused earlier by Taehyung had affected you more than you wanted to admit and you were worried about him.
As much as I wanted what was best for Taehyung I couldn't just let you walk into his arms knowing precisely that he was going to hurt you.
You didn't deserve to get sucked in the turmoil of emotions Taehyung didn't understand but felt all the time. It was going to be tiring and suffocating and as his best friend, I knew what I was talking about.
Taehyung had arrived before me and that was the mistake I made.
I knew he was lying when he said he had certain things to take care of and left Dubai, I had a feeling he was going to imprint himself on you and I was right.
You were falling in love with him.
I couldn't be the same calm and let whatever happens Jungkook that I used to be, no, I wanted you and I was going to do what I had to for that information to sink into your head.
Taehyung might've been creating waves in your stomach but I was going to be the storm that would control those waves.
Taehyung was doing everything wrong, yes, he had sex with you, though sex was a big factor in getting you he was forgetting that even if you loved having sex with him you loved other things as well...
"Jungkook!" voices cheer when I walk out into the backyard and I smile at Sehun and Kai who keep cheering my name.
"Thanks to you we're eating so good" Kai says and I chuckle.
"I tried" I say sounding as modest as possible.
Your friends, you loved and cared for your friends.
I hadn't asked to be Lisa's plus one for nothing, your friends were a large part of your life and the man who was going to be with you had to understand that and get along with them.
"If we had left that idiot of Suho at the grill we'd be eating just lettuce and sauce" Sehun says with his mouth full.
I laugh and look around the backyard, I notice Mark sitting with Rosé, her boyfriend Yoongi, Hobi and Lisa.
