"Hey, Isla. Can you come here?" I shouted to her from my bedroom. She came out of the bathroom in her towel, but she wasn't wet suggesting she was about to shower.
"Um can you sit down?" I asked nervous. She looked at me in confusion but sat next to me on the bed anyway.
"Two years ago, for your birthday I got you something, but I never gave you it because I felt something was missing. Well I found the missing piece. But I want to go somewhere before I give you it because it's been two years in the works. What do you say?"
"I'm so fucking confused, but I'll go anywhere with you." She laughed a laugh that made my heart skip a beat and kissed me softly.
"Dress cute." I kissed her cheek. "I'm just going to the store, I'll be back in an hour."

I had no idea what Awsten was talking about. He was all jittery and talking way too fast, but it was cute. He ran out of the apartment, leaving me confused.
The last thing he said to me was 'dress cute' which I was going to do. I turned in the shower and tied my hair out of my face.
After my shower, I got dry and put on a long sleeved white logo tee, and my baby pink short dungarees over it. I Put on some white frilly socks and chunky black Oxford shoes over them.
I put my hair half up in a scrunchy and added some salt spray to make it wavier. Finally, I did some simple, cute makeup, put in some silver hoop earrings in, and sprayed myself with a jasmine perfume.
By the time I was ready, Awsten still wasn't back so just sat in his bed and watched Our Planet on Netflix. I was half an episode in, when he got back.
"Isla, don't come into the kitchen until I tell you to." He popped his head round his bedroom door.
"Okay, pumpkin." I laughed before returning to my show. I heard a bunch of clattering in the kitchen and Awsten swearing. Usually I would check if he was okay, but I'm under strict orders not to.
He came rushing into the bedroom, taking his t-shirt off and replacing it with plain white one. He went into the bathroom and clattered about in there, before finally coming back in and announcing he was ready.
