I sat next to Chelsea at the table that was by the window. She kept on sighing as she ate her lunch.
But I wanted to know more about him.
"How do you know those aren't just rumors? I mean, rumors don't define who you are. . . they're just words from the mouth that gives people something to talk about even if they're not right at all. . ." I started eating.
I know I don't know this Matthew guy, but I know from experience, that people will just talk and talk until they're satisfied with themselves, and don't seem to take care into those people's feelings.
"I just know." Chelsea said with a blank face. I sighed and continued to eat my lunch. It's weird how her mood changed instantly when I mentioned him.

I made it to my last hour of the day which was History.
"Class, I would like to introduce Arabella Hansen to our History class." Ms Blanchard said as I stood in front of the whole class. I felt all eyes of the students on me.
I looked around the room until I saw the same brown eyes that I had seen earlier. Matthew was his name but I didn't know his last name.
He slouched in his chair, his arms crossed in front of his chest indicating that he showed no interest what so ever into the welcoming of me. I looked at him, and he caught my gaze. He stared back with a blank face and the same slouch. He finally looked away as Ms. Blanchard started the lesson.
I got placed by a boy named Zach. He seemed like one of the populars. He kept on talking throughout the whole lesson and I couldn't hear a thing. But so was Matthew, laughing and joking around with his friends.
It got to the point when no one could hear Ms. Blanchard's history lesson.
"Matthew." Ms. Blanchard called out. The whole classroom got silent as all of the eyes went from me, to him. The boys he was conversing with finally got the idea and got quiet too. Matthew gave Ms. Blanchard a cocky look. "Repeat exactly what I just said." She continued on.
He shrugged his shoulders, as he gave a carefree look. "I don't know, I was talking to my friends. Is that a problem for you?"
Ms. Blanchard raised her eyebrow. "Actually, it is. You're distracting the whole class from learning because you're talking. School is for learning, not really for distractions. Since you couldn't repeat what I had said before, says that you obviously weren't paying attention and that also goes along with those friends of yours.''
"Okay." He shrugged.
"Now why did the first skirmish of the French and Indian war occur, Matthew?" Ms Blanchard said with a serious tone.
He bit on the inside of his cheeks, while fiddling with his pencil. "Because they both wanted the Ohio River Valley. I think that's right."
Ms. Blanchard raised her eyebrows. "Correct." She continued on with the lesson.

I met Chelsea at the bus stop. She carried on a simple conversation and her mood improved since lunch.
"Sorry about earlier, Arabella. I was just. . having a rough day, that's all." She managed a smile.
"Oh, that's fine. I hope your day gets better." I friendly smiled.
The bus arrived and we got on. I sat in the back with Chelsea. She's the only person I've made friends with today.

I got home and instantly went up to my room and threw my backpack on the floor. I kicked my shoes off and went over to my jewelry box to put my two necklaces I wore into it.
I instantly fell back on my bed and put my earplugs in my ear, blasting The Cab. They were my favorite band, because for some reason they calmed me.
I spent the rest of the day listening to music. By the time I looked at the clock, it was already 8 o'clock. I pulled out my earplugs and gathered my clothes for a shower.
After I was finished with my shower, I laid on my bed, hoping that I would trail off soon. And that I did.
