Chelsea kept laughing and sustained to skate, leaving Matthew and I still staring into each other's eyes. I struggled to get up with the weight of the skates pulling me back towards the ground. Matthew managed to get up and offer a hand to help me up.
"Watch where you're going next time." He said, holding the side of his stomach. I covered my mouth, hoping I didn't hurt him.
The lights that were showing in the whole rink, changed a different color.
"Did I hurt you?" I got really nervous everytime I thought I hurt someone, mostly because at one time in my life, I harmed myself. I was losing myself completely and I couldn't control it. I was too weak. He slightly smiled but the slight smile, curved downwards.
"It's a hickey." He said with an unemotional voice and blank face.
The same blank stare he gave me in class.
"Oh." I spoke. My skates were starting to lean me forward. Before I could fall face first on the floor, he grabbed me by my arms.
"Someone's a little uncoordinated." He smirked. I started to feel heat in my cheeks, until I figured out that I was blushing. I pulled away from Matthew.
I managed to skate off of the floor.
Another guy that I often saw hanging out with populars at school, stood by the concessions. He always wore the colorful shirts, on every piece of clothing. His hair was mostly in a bandana, but half of the time it was down.
I sat down on the bench, Chelsea sitting right next to me.
"Fun night, huh?" She smiled and sipped on her soda. I nodded as she took off her skates.
"Aye Taylor! What's up bro." Matthew hugged the guy that wore mostly tie-dye shirts, bandanas, and shorts, but recently he changed up his style to a side quiff, along with dressier shirts. The braces suited him too. His name was apparently Taylor. "Nothing much bro, just came here to skate and stuff." Taylor replied.
Taylor looked towards us, Chelsea and I hurriedly turned our heads the other way.
"Who are they?" I heard Taylor say, even with my head turned away from them. "Just some random girls that I saw here." Matthew replied.

We walked out of the skating rink. We both got into the car and she started to drive. I'm pretty sure for this night, I have multiple bruises and such all over my body from falling down so much at the skating rink.
"You know, I know what you're thinking." Chelsea looked straight ahead at the road, her hands gripping the steering wheel with tightness. I looked at her with uncertainty.
I honestly wasn't thinking of anything at the moment. I looked at her with confusion.
"You're gonna fall in love with a bad boy, that's a football player." She continued. I laughed, I didn't think she was serious, but everything about the way she said it, was serious.
"That's at the bottom of my intentions." I spoke with rectitude. "And what does being a football player have to do with this?" Now it was Chelsea's turn to laugh.
Chelsea continued to laugh. "Do you not notice that some football players are stuck up and conceited? By that saying, he's stuck up. And, they all fall in love with him."
The roads got more familiar as we entered Woodbridge. The traffic was backed up. Cars speeding at one part of the intersection, and the other parts of the intersection, full of vehicles. The lights were slow too.
We managed to get through the congestion of cars. I already had at least ten messages from my worried mother. I texted her back so she wouldn't be so distressed.
"But that doesn't mean I will." I shrugged.
Chelsea's face turned blank, impassiveness taking over her.
"Just watch Arabella, more promises will be made and they'll only just damage you, he'll stand on your shoulders, and guess what, your heart will just break. You'll fall for his tricks, his charm, his cockiness, his attractiveness, you'll well. . . fall for him." Chelsea pulled into my driveway. I was unbalanced, mentally. Everything she was telling me, was confusing me to a different extent. I didn't know how she knew all of this.
I stepped out of the car, still holding the car open. "How do you know all of these things you're telling me?"
"You'll find out sooner or later, and in this case, you'll find out later. Have a good night." She smiled, clearly trying to lighten up the mood.
I closed the car door and walked inside. My mother laid on the couch, the channel on Lifetime. She smiled as she saw me set my purse down on the chair.
"How was your night?" She looked back at the television. She had cooked dinner, but I had already eaten pizza at the skating rink.
"Weird," I giggled.
She and I talked about how our nights were. She seemed happier, and I loved seeing her happy cause when she was happy, I felt like a better person. Her happiness would glimmer onto anyone she's around. It's very rare to see her happy though. It was one of the best things to see.
After our conversation, I took a shower and got into my bed. She wished me goodnight and I did the same, as I trailed off to sleep, I was reminded of what Chelsea said earlier.
-------------------------------------------
this chapter was fairly short, mainly just dialogue.
hmm chelsea sure does seem weird and odd
and if their are similarities, I give all of the credits to her for her parts that I've included in my writing. (I believe that there will be only original writing from this point on.)
