The next few days were decently fine.
I made a few more friends, but they didn't seem to last long. The first few days I got to know them, they suddenly ditched me, and I was alone with Chelsea again. Not that I didn't want to be. She was my only good friend.
Nothing new happened except for those same blank stares he would give me everyday in class. I found out his last name when Ms. Blanchard was calling role. Espinosa was his last name.
When someone mentioned my name, he would cross his arms across his body and just give a blank facial expression. I tried not to look at him as much, so that I wouldn't draw attention to myself.
Those short term friends on mine, kept on reminding me of Matthew's reputation and how he was perceived to others. Every time they said something about it, the things they'd say would change in some way.

The weekend approached quickly for once. Chelsea and I spent the whole week of school, talking about where we should hang out the following weekend.
I had been outside at least four times today. It's a Friday night, at least 7pm. The weather was in the midst of being hot and cold.
Chelsea was outside in my driveway, honking her horn. She insisted we went to the skating rink. She kept on honking the horn until I had enough.
"Arabella!" She hollered.
"Chelsea! I said I'm coming." I yelled in the doorway. I ran over to the car and got in.
She pulled out of my driveway and started on the road.
"Out of all the places, you choose a skating rink?" I said, putting on my seatbelt. I couldn't skate that well, I always had bad experiences with skating. I didn't know why, skating just wasn't and I don't think will ever be the best thing for me to do.
Chelsea laughed. "It'll be funny when you slip. I'll just stand there and laugh until my sides hurt, then help you up."
I groaned.
That's when she turned up the radio, and to my luck, The Cab was playing. The song Endlessly, my favorite.
"I love them!" I practically screamed.
"Apparently you do because you just screamed in my damn ear. You could've busted my ear drum. " Chelsea tried her hardest not to laugh, but soon enough, we both bursted into laughs.
I was doing some weird hand movements to the song, I didn't even know why myself. Chelsea looked at me like I was crazy.
Soon enough, she turned down the radio while I was really getting into the song. She was laughing while I was mad.
After moments of her being the only one laughing, we finally pulled up to the skating rink. I looked out of the window and didn't recognize my surroundings like I would've.
"What part of Virginia are we in?" I questioned, my eyes still glued to the outside of the window.
Chelsea took the keys out of the ignition and placed them into her purse. "Stafford."
We got inside. The lights were dimmed low, a disco ball circled around in the ceiling. The light from the disco ball reflecting onto everything in the skating rink. People were skating with the rhythm of the music that was playing. I even saw someone long-boarding on the slick floor. The music was booming over everyone.
I followed Chelsea to the front desk. We got our skates. She got the roller blades while I got the quad roller skates. I asked for kid skates, but they only laughed at me and gave me the regulars. Though, I was being serious.
We started skating. I gripped onto the wall to get my wheels rolling until I eventually got to the floor. Chelsea stayed by me, helping me stay up.
Chelsea let loose of our hands and left me to skate on my own. I steadily started skating at my own pace. It got to the point when I was comfortable.
I looked down at my skates, and that's when I felt my body fall onto someone. I was lying on the cold slick ground, with someone under me.
"I'm s-so sorry." My eyes were closed. I slowly started opening up my eyes, and right there, under me, was none other than the player himself, Matthew Espinosa.
"Didn't I tell you I would be laughing when you slipped?" Chelsea was laughing her heart out. But she didn't bother to help me up like she said she would, because she was too busy laughing. She hadn't noticed that I fell on him.
Matthew and I just laid there, staring into each other's eyes.
