I walked down the sidewalk onto the street. I haven't been outside in two- well, I guess, fifteen years.

When I "died", Steve, Tony, and.. Peter were there. Even though they knew I stopped breathing, they brought my body back to the headquarters.

For a couple of reasons. One: make sure I was actually dead and not just doing a fakeout. Two: to have a funeral.

After that, I don't really know what they did with my body. I wasn't buried, so I guess they just kept it somewhere in the compound. I woke up in a room I had never seen before.

-

Opening my eyes, I saw something I haven't seen in years. Over a decade.

Light.

It blinded me at first, but I got used to it after ten minutes. I looked around to see that I was in a room. I've never seen this room before, and I had a pounding headache.

All I remembered was Chaz killing me. But now I'm awake? It felt like I slept for an hour or so.

"Welcome back, kid," I heard a familiar voice say. I looked to my left to see Tony Stark standing there, with a smile on his face.

"Hey Tony. What'd I miss?"

-

I shook the memory out of my head and continued walking. The Avengers were on a mission, so no one was at the compound. Therefore, I could roam freely.

The Avengers wanted me to get out of the house, but they wanted to be with me when it happened.

Sighing, I made my way towards the comic store. Maybe I could say hi to Tobey.

I walked down the sidewalk and stopped at the busy intersection. I saw a boy about 10 years old on the other side of the street.

He had headphones on and was playing on his phone. Damn kids.

He started to cross the street, but the light was still green. He was walking into the traffic! No one else was around, so I knew what I had to do.

"Kid!" I yelled. He didn't even look up. Thankfully, the cars were swerving around him.

I sighed and used my super speed, something I haven't done in a while. I ran up to the kid and grabbed him by his shoulders, and then ran back to his side of the street.

"Woah!" He said, almost falling over.

"Sorry about that. Hopefully you don't get whiplash. I haven't done that in a while," I said. The kid pulled his headphones down so they rested around his neck.

"What?" He asked.

"Whiplash," I said, stretching out the A.

"No, what just happened?" He asked, a shocked expression plastered on his face.

"Pay attention when you're crossing the street, kid. I just saved your life," I said. He still looked shocked.

"Thank you, I think," he said, confused.

"What's your name, kid?" I asked, crossing my arms.

"Ben," he replied.

"Well, Ben, it was nice saving you. Pay attention when you cross next time, okay?" I asked. He nodded and I smiled, turning on my heel and walking away.

-

"Ben! Don't run off from me and your mom like that," I said to my son, Ben. I ruffled his hair and pulled the phone out of his hand. It was my phone that he took when I wasn't looking.

"Yeah, you scared us!" Mary Jane said, holding Rosie's hand.

"It's fine, Dad! I started crossing the street-"

"You were crossing the street?!" Mary Jane yelled. I gave her a look and she stopped yelling.

"It's fine Mom! Anyways, I started crossing the street and cars were coming at me, but someone saved me!" He yelled excitedly.

"Woah! Like Iron Man or Captain America?" Rosie exclaimed, letting go of Mary Jane's hand and running up to Ben.

"Yeah! Except it was a lady. She was really fast and really pretty, and I hope to see her again," Ben said. I laughed to myself as Mary Jane gave me a stern look.

"What?" I asked her quietly.

"Our son could've died and you're laughing?" She said angrily.

"Oh, calm down. He probably didn't even cross the street. Ben has a wild imagination, you know. Besides, look at him. He's fine," I said. Mary Jane crossed her arms and I rolled my eyes.

She can be ridiculous sometimes. Damn.

"Who saved you? Like, what'd she look like? Ooh! Was she the Scarlet Witch? Or Black Widow?" Rosie asked excitedly.

"It wasn't either of them," Ben said.

"Who was it? Is there a new Avenger?" Rosie asked, somehow even more excited.

"I didn't get her name. She had super speed and (e/c) eyes and (h/c) hair and she was really nice!" Ben said. This caught my attention.

"Which way did she go?" I asked. Mary Jane made an annoyed noise from behind me.

"That way," he said, pointing towards an all foo familiar place.

Stan's Comics.

There's no way he could've seen (Y/n). No damn way. She's dead. Dead!
