I woke up with Peter's arms around me in the shitty hotel bed. Smiling to myself, I quietly snuck out of his arms.

Not that I didn't love the moment, I just had to pee. Grabbing my phone off of the nightstand, I walked into the bathroom.

After I peed, I decided to check my messages. I washed my hands and sat on the edge of the white bathtub, unlocking my phone.

Oh shit.

Tony: where in the FUCK ARE YOU

Steve: are you okay??

Bucky: yo can you send me that one video of Sam falling down the stairs

Sam: do not send Bucky the video of me falling down the stairs I swear to god

I had missed calls from Steve and Tony, who left very angry voicemails.

"Peter," I said, lightly shaking him. He stirred before he woke up and rubbed his eyes.

"Hi," he said while stretching.

"I need to go home," I said. He stopped stretching and looked at me with a sad smile.

"Okay," he said.

"Call me, okay? Put your number in my phone," I said, handing him my phone. He entered it before sleepily handing it back to me.

"I'll miss you," he said.

"I'll miss you too, Peter. You better get home too," I said, smiling before walking out the door of the hotel room.

I used my super speed to get home and silently entered the compound, only to run into Steve.

"Where were you?" He asked.

"I met up with Peter," I said. Steve's face softened and he gave me a hug.

"Did it go well?" He asked, pulling away.

"I'd say so," I said with a shrug.

"Good. I'll tell Tony so he won't go, what the kids call, sicko mode, on you," Steve said. I widened my eyes at that statement as he walked away into the kitchen.

I walked into my house and hung my coat on the coatrack. It seemed awfully quiet, since I was getting home at noon and the house was silent.

It was Sunday, so the kids wouldn't be at school. Mary Jane wouldn't be at work.

Something was wrong.

"Hello?" I called throughout the seemingly empty house. I walked through the rooms and saw nothing. Things were also missing. Nothing major, just certain toys and Mary Jane's things.

I decided to check upstairs. Who knows? Maybe the kids were pulling a prank on me or something.

I walked into my office and saw a neatly folded piece of paper on my desk. Odd, I don't remember leaving this here.

I sat on my desk chair and picked up the piece of paper and unfolded it.

Peter-

I'm so sorry to have to do this through a note, but it's too hard for me to do it in person. I think it is for you too. I've taken myself and the kids to my mom's house for a while. We'll be staying here until we can afford to get our own house or until you move out. There are divorce papers on your desk that have all of my signatures and custody agreements already in them. I think it's best that we aren't together anymore. You belong with (Y/n). I'll still let you see the kids. I'm sorry.

-Mary Jane x

Tears were streaming down my face as I closed the note and put it back on my desk. I saw the divorce papers on my desk neatly piled in the corner, with her signature staining the page in jet black ink.

I wiped away some tears and hesitantly grabbed the papers. If I did this, I'd lose everything.

But then I'd get my everything back.

(Y/n) was my everything. I knew that I needed to do this. Mary Jane said she'd still let me see Ben and Rosie, so I'm set.

I grabbed my pen from my drawer and swiftly signed the papers. At the top it said to mail it into a certain address, and they'll mail something back confirming the divorce. Huh. Almost seems too easy.

I decided that I was going to move out and let Mary Jane have the house. Why should a grown man live in a two story, four bedroom, three bathroom house by himself?

I called Mary Jane and, thank god, was sent to voicemail. I couldn't handle talking to her right now.

"Hey, uh, MJ. I've decided to move out and let you have the house. I should be out of here by Thursday at the latest. I'll call you again when I'm actually out. I'm sorry," I said with a sigh. I ended the call and gingerly placed my phone on my desk.

After sitting in my desk chair and staring off into space for what seemed like hours, I decided to start packing.

Of course I packed the essential things, like self care items and clothes, and the I started to get my not-so-essential things.

I grabbed the box in the attic labeled "HIGH SCHOOL" and placed it on top of the small pile of boxes I had in the corner of my office.

That's enough for today. I checked the time to see that it was only 5:00, so I decided to call (Y/n). Plus, I was feeling... odd, if you catch my drift.

"Hello?" She answered happily.

"Hey! Uh, I'm home alone and bored right now. You should come over," I said, biting my lip trying not to laugh.

"On my way," (Y/n) said in a flirty tone. My eyes widened as the call ended.

Well, this should be interesting.
