I watched him sleep for a mojority of the night, for the most part my mind was a drift in my thoughts. Thinking of us, our future and other silly things. I battled my demons silently, replacing every little voice with forced happy thoughts. Trying to snuff out all my demons with a happy future which I knew may not happen. This could all be a phase, and I'd lose my only happiness. With this I knew I'd end my trivial life even if I was going to some prestigious college. I wasn't going to be like my parents, unhappy and spiteful. I wanted a happy life, one with no worries or pain, one with Nate.

I looked up at his jaw which was relaxed and hung open slightly. He snored softly and remained completely still, even with the morning sun shining through didn't bother him. The rays of sun danced on his skin, showing his slight stubble and his hair looked a tad lighter with the faint rays. I smiled slightly, he was mine, all mine till he realizes he can get better. Till then, hes all mine. I carefully rested my head back on his chest and listened to his faint heart beat. Each quiet and rythmic beat matched with each gruff and short breath or snore.

I breathed ever so carefully, I didn't want to wake him. He made a noise or moved from time to time and I'd freeze, not wanting to awaken him. My eyes wandered around the car, looking at the windshield from the little space between the front seats. The sun filled the car, and the sound of cars began as the sun rose in the morning sky. I yawned softly and shook Nate. He groaned and made a noise, I shook him again.

"What.."He mumbled.

"Its morning. "I whispered.

"So?" He asked.

"Cars."I answered.

"So?"He asked again.

"I'm hungry."I answered.

"Go hunt a rabbit." He muttered and moved his arm from his eyes.

"No...but I can be a cannibal. " I smiled and bit his chest softly.

"Ow."He said with a soft moan and I chuckled softly.

"Come on."I shimmied off of him and out of the car.

"What would it take for you to be quiet."He grunted as he sat up and got out.

"Drugs, roofies."I listed off.

"Too expensive. " He turned to shut the door and stretched, the slight muscles in his back scrunched up slightly. I bit my lip and looked down.

"C..can we go get food?"I asked.

"Yeah, but the next town over. They may be looking for you."He said as I heard his feet recede, I looked up to watch him go around the car to the drivers side. I got in the passanger side and kissed his cheek.

"Thanks."I muttered and shut my door.

"You're too skinny, I have to fatten you up before I can eat you."He smiled and messed my hair.

"I..I'm not too skinny."I looked down at myself, at my pants that were sorta too big. I made a face and crossed my arms, my thin lanky arms.

"Hey..its not a bad thing. Trust me, we both can't be buffed up and beefy, one of us has to be the man in the relationship." He said jokingly.

"I guess." I looked up at him as he was starting the car up.

"I love you the way you are."He said as he began to drive, his eyes had dark circles and his face seemed emotionless.

"Are you okay?"I asked.

"Just a little tired, I won't fling us off the high way trust me." He smiled.

"Okay...Nate?"I asked.

"Yeah?"

"Can we really runaway?"

"Not right now, but we can put a plan together and get some stuff. Yeah."He answered.

"Okay."I looked out the side window.

The scenery was woodsy, but my head immediately snapped foward when I heard the sounds of sirens going the opposite direction out of town. A line of police cruisers, motorcycles and vans were all racing out of town. My eyes widened and when I looked at Nate for guidance, he just had a blank look ahead that soon turned to anger. When I looked to see what it was, panic rushed my lungs. A road block, this highway went into, out of and around town and it was blocked. The worst part of it all, they were searching vehicles.
