I ruffle my hair as I enter the stage, ruining all the hard work that had been put into it and making my stylist wince. A small rebellion to make myself feel better about the sycophantic smile plastered to my face, competing with Brielle's own pearly whites.
"Oh, you look beautiful," he welcomes me "and I hear you helped design the dress yourself."
"I did help out with the pattern" I suppose I did embroider it myself last month. Call it Fate.
"So" he says with a smile, his teeth almost blinding me. "Why do you deserve to win?"
"Well, frankly, I don't. I don't deserve to win anymore than anyone else, but I'm going to make sure that I win anyway. Because I'm smart and I can make things. I may not be the strongest or fastest competitor, but I don't need to be. I can kill my opponents before they're even aware that I'm there. People shouldn't underestimate me, I will win this with brains not brawn"
