chapter 4

after the kiss, the boys just looked at each other. neither of them knew what to do but they also didn't wanna look away. they wanted to be that close together.

they weren't sure what was gonna happen. neither of them have ever been in a relationship and they didn't know how it would work or if their parents would allow it.

"so u-uh"

zach said quietly.

"what happens now?"

jonah said. he isn't very shy he's always been a very blunt person but, right now even he didn't know what to say.

"i-i don't know. what do you want to happen?"

zach asked, curiously. jonah thought for a minute. he was quite tired.

"i think we both have a lot to think about. and it's getting late, we should go to sleep."

jonah stated. zach nodded and jonah moved away from zach and turned the lamp off which caused the room to turn pitch black.

the two boys then attempted to fall asleep, on opposite sides of the bed, backs to each other.

"zach? are you awake?"

jonah asked zach, it was now about 2 am. jonah couldn't fall asleep he had too much on his mind. did he like zach? and even if he did would zach like him back? what would people think if they got together? 

he just was thinking about a lot. little did he know, zach was awake too. thinking almost the exact same things as him.

"y-yes. i cant sleep."

zach whispered quietly. jonah smiled a little. zach's tired voice was so cute, jonah thought. he turned and faced zach, zach turned also, doing the same as him.

they just laid for a minute looking at each other, the moonlight shining through the window was shining on zach's face, he looked tired.

"you look really tired."

jonah said. and slight smile formed upon zach's face. jonah's voice was deep and raspy, it was cute.

"now what are you smiling about?"

jonah asked, playfully. he sent a smile over to zach.

"n-nothing. just your voice. its so..."

he stopped for a minute, should he say it? he asked himself. he couldn't stop there. he had already started. yolo.

"cute. it's cute when you're tired."

he said, looking down. jonah smiled to himself.

"i could say the exact same thing about yours, zach."

jonah replied, an even bigger smile forming on zach's face. before he could say anything he was interrupted by a yawn. he was so tired.

"come here."

jonah said, opening his arms. zach was confused.

"what?"

zach looked at him. jonah opened his arms even more.

"come here, closer. it's easier to fall asleep when you're being held. i don't mind."

zach smiled and moved over to jonah. he cuddled into jonah's chest. jonah's arms wrapped around zach, loving the feeling.

zach could feel the warmth of jonah, he was already half a sleep. a small, sweet kiss was placed on his forehead.

"goodnight, zach."

zach smiled on jonah's skin.

"goodnight."
