"we should talk... right?"

jonah asked. the feelings he had for zach had been eating him alive, he needed to be with him or, atleast tell him how he felt.

zach swallowed hard, looking over at jonah.

"about..?"

zach asked. knowing exactly what jonah was talking about but still wanted to buy time so he could think.

jonah stopped zach from walking. he got in front of zach.

"about what happened last night. about, about everything."

jonah replied. he looked into zach's eyes. he grabbed zach's hands and interlocked both hands with his. he wanted this moment to be memorable and special, but he didn't want to wait any longer.

"i-i like you, zach. like, i like like you. i have feelings for you. i didn't realize until last night but, i do and i don't want to wait any longer without telling you."

jonah explained, looking at zach. zach smiled and softly nodded.

"i like you, too. like, like like you, jonah. i just didn't know if you felt the same so i didn't say anything. last night made me realize."

jonah smiled, realizing zach liked him back and that meant they could..be something, right?

he pulled zach closer to him, letting go of his hands. one of his hands grabbed zach's hip, the other grabbing his cheek and softly connecting their lips.

their lips moved in sync for about a minute before they pulled away, realizing how many feelings have been hiding from them.

jonah smiled to himself a little before looking back up at zach, who was also smiling.

"so what does this mean?"

zach asked, confused on what was gonna happen now.

"well, i'm not really sure. i don't know how to..be together. i've never been in anything like this or really ever had feelings like these. i don't know what i'm doing."

jonah stated, receiving a nod from zach.

"i have no clue either. neither of us have ever been in a relationship."

zach replied. jonah smiled.  this was new to both of the boys.

"good. we can learn together. we'll learn how to do...this and how to be a thing and all of that, before we make it official. we have time."

zach smiled at jonah and nodded to him. this made zach incredibly happy, jonah liked him back and now they're...a thing. he was happy.

"sounds amazing."

zach said as he grabbed jonah's hand and they began walked the trail again, hand in hand. if they didn't get to the top soon, they would miss the sunset.
