I took off my glasses and laid down in bed, kinda upset but I should of expected it. As I pulled my covers up and put Sally between my arms, I closed my eyes to go to sleep.
But for some reason, the house phone started to ring. It's already 10 at night and my parents are sleep, no one ever calls at this time. I ignored it and kept my eyes shut but once the ringing stopped, it went off again.
I groaned and sat up, grabbing the phone from my nightstand. "Hello?" I answered grumpy as I just wanted to sleep.
"This Blu?" A familiar voice asked. I smiled to myself. "Who's asking?" I bit my lip, waiting for an answer. "It's Jake, I want to make sure this isn't the same number I called 2 hours ago." I was confused but told him it was me.
"Oh good. I tried to call earlier but they said it was the wrong number and I didn't want to call again." I smiled even bigger. He DID call, we'll at least tried. I giggled as I heard him slightly laugh.
"Anyways, how was your day?" He asked, I laid down and kept that huge smile on my face. I couldn't think of words to say as I was too happy. "Hello, you still there?" I snapped out of my gaze to roof and shook my head.
"My dad is good." I bit my lip as the smile wouldn't disappear. "Dad? I asked about your day, not your dad." He said, embarrassing me. "Oh- I- um-" I couldn't think of words to say as I felt my face heat up. "My day!" I yelled finally making out words.
"My day." I repeated as I didn't want to tell him I sat around for his call all day and make me sound obsessed already. "Yeah." Was all he said.
"My day was good." I quickly said, finally answering his question. "How about you." I wanted attention off me as quick as possible. "Busy." He let out a sigh.
"Do you want to go bed? You can always call me tomorrow." I bit my lip as I looked at Sally.
"No, I rather talk to you.?"
