"Are you sure?" Jake asked me as I was looking at the 6th outfit for tonight. "Why do you keep asking me that?" I looked at him a little upset. "Because Blu.. ever since I met you, you never mentioned anything about partying, besides when it was with your parents and their friends." Jake laid on my bed as he was watching me try on different outfits.
"Hey, don't underestimate how hard people in the mid-40s can party." I smiled as I laughed a little. I took off the t-shirt I was wearing and fixed my red bralette. I grabbed a black tube top and slipped it on. "You look hot, babe." My face started to get a little pink as I started to blush from Jake. "I don't really like the shorts, I'm gonna put jeans on."
"Whatever you feel comfortable in." I slipped off my shorts and slipped into middle washed, girlfriend jeans. "This?" I asked Jake as I looked at myself through the mirror. Jake didn't say anything, except he got up and stood behind me. "You look beautiful, no matter what you wear tonight." He kissed my cheek as I smiled.
We were interrupt by a loud knock from downstairs. "They're here." I said in a complaining tone. Jake just chuckled a little. Jake went downstairs to open the door for them as I stared at myself through the mirror once more. I slipped on my white sneakers and went downstairs, joining everyone.
"You look hot, Blu." Colby said, everyone immediately stared at him. Jake cleared his throat. "I mean nice, you look nice for this being your first party." I just pursed my lips and nodded my head, going straight to Jake. "Hi." Kat said as she smiled at me. "Hi." I simply replied back.
"Are you ready for tonight to be the best night of your life?" She asked as she smirked at me. I was confused on why she was being nice to be but I didn't question it. "Just stick by us or Jake and don't take a drink from anyone besides one of me us." Devyn warned me as she stood next to Kat. I nodded in response. I looked at all the bottles of alcohol they had jumbled on the counter as loud music already started to play through the house.
I closed my eyes as the noise was unexpected. "People should be showing up soon." Colby said as he came back into the kitchen, joining us girls. "Where's Xepher?" I asked as I noticed she didn't come with them. "She's coming later with Griffin." Corey said as he was looking through the cabinets. I nodded, not knowing who Griffin was but didn't bother asking.
I watched everyone as they started to down a couple of shots to 'get the night started'. I didn't take any, I just watched them. People started to show up sooner than I expected, and soon the house was filled with people I didn't know.
I lost Jake as soon as people showed up, and I couldn't find the girls. I pushed myself through people as everyone was touching me. I could barely see past anyone or even tell how far I was from the stairs.Once I finally made it to the stairs, I ran straight up them, out of breath. I held onto the railing as I was sitting on the stairs, out of everyone's sight. The boys blocked off the upstairs for me as no one was allowed up here. The loud music started to hurt my head as I felt my eyes get hot. I don't know why I started to cry, but I just did.
"I'm going to the bathroom." I heard someone shout as they started to come up the stairs. I froze in my spot, not really knowing what to do. I let out a breath, I didn't know I was holding, once I saw it Jake. "Hey, there you are- what's wrong?" Jake quickly sat next to me, pulling me close to him.
"This party. I can't do it. I-I don't know anyone. I lost you and I was all alone for 2 hours after I lost the girls. I could barely make it to the stairs as everyone was touching me. I can't do this, Jake. And this fucking music, I'm getting a horrible headache and I seriously can't do this, I'm sorry." I cried more as I smudged my mascara. "I got this." Jake kissed the top of my head before leaving me on the stairs by myself.
The music suddenly shut off as I heard Jake yell. "Cops are on their way, everyone leave!" I smiled to myself as he really just shut down a party for me.
