Boredom overwhelms Blaze as he leans back in one of the black leather office chairs that occupied the meeting room. He scrolls through Instagram liking various pictures of interest to occupy his time before others arrived. Typical he would have Tatiana by his side to keep him company but seeing as though Jazelle had denied both her and Samiyah any further involvement he was by his lonesome.
Jasai had set up a meeting to go over a new job he had lined up. This job was supposed to start weeks ago but since Jasai and Jazelle had ended their sibling rivalry they've been spending lots of time together. Their once damaged relationship was now back on track. In fact, their separation seems to create a stronger bond between the two.
Blaze had an odd concoction of emotions that plagued him. They consisted of anticipation and dread. A part of him wanted to see Jazelle because she's been invading his mind since they met but in the same breath he didn't want to deal with her arrogant demeanor.
Although Jazelle was in a much happier place that didn't stop her from continuing to give the crew a difficult time. Despite her brother's pleas she still made it clear their presences were unwanted. Especially Blaze.
It was mind-boggling to Blaze how she could be relatively related to Jasai. He thought they were nothing alike. Jasai was such a considerate, caring, and humble individual where he viewed Jazelle as cold, disdainful and discourteous. He wasn't feeling her vibe at all. He didn't understand how someone so beautiful on the outside could be so ugly on the inside.
Actions speak better than words, Jasai would continue to remind him. Show her why I picked you, show her why you're still around. Show her why you're the best.
After all that Jazelle has been through, she's learned to take what anyone says with a grain of salt. Plenty of broken promises have come her way.
"Why you always the first mothafucka to arrive when we got a meeting?" Flaco enters the room with a vibrant smile plastered across his face. His laptop bag hanging from his shoulders. Tattoos splattered all over his face, baggy clothes on his thin frame and blunt hanging from his mouth as always.
