Chapter 11 - New house

That day we packed up all of our stuff and walked right out the door and the people didn't even notice us. We stopped in front of a black camry and got inside. We drove to upper manhattan towards long island and stopped at a white two story house in a nice neighborhood. "We had to borrow some money from Apollo but he's says not to pay him back." Will said. 

I hopped out of the car and ran towards the front door. I waited on the porch for my dads to unlock the door. "Hold on Holly I'll be right there to unlock the door, I just have to get these bags." Nico said. While I was in the underworld they had gone to the apartment to get all of our things. The moving van would be here in the morning with all of our furniture. Nico groaned and staggered to the porch.

 I ran up to him and grabbed some bags so he could unlock the door. "Thanks honey." He said as he unlocked the door. I ran inside putting the bags by the door. "Wow." I said looking around, there was a huge kitchen that had breakfast bar, the living had a flat screen TV and two huge couches. There was a door that led to a office on the wall to the right. I know because I went in there to look around. I grabbed the bags that I knew were mine and ran up the stairs. 

There were four bedrooms and three bathrooms my dads had told me. By the stairs there was a loft that had some bean bags and a TV with a hulu setup. I ran towards one door and opened it. It had blue walls and white trim with a window seat. I guessed that this was going to be my room or the guest room. I walked out and went to the next door which was a bathroom with white walls. The next two were bedrooms. 

The first was a room which had a fish tank set in the wall and another window seat. It had bright teal walls. I want this to be my room, I thought. The next was yet another bathroom but this one connected to my bedroom. The next was another bedroom. This one was a master bedroom with grey wall and white trim. It also had a connecting bathroom. Then there was another bedroom with white walls. I put my stuff in the teal room and went downstairs to help unpack the car. I ran into Will who said " Oh hey Holly I was wondering where you were. Did you find the bedroom that you wanted?" "Yep, it's the one with teal walls, a window seat and a fish tank." He thought for a moment and said "Good I thought you might like that one, here's the rest of your things." He said handing my two bags and my sword scabbard.

 "Thanks dad, I'm going to start setting up my stuff for the night." I said jogging up the stairs. "Wait before you go I forgot to give you something." He said quickly. He handed me a cardboard box and added "Inside there's a lantern and a sleeping bag for you to sleep in tonight." "Thanks!" I said kissing him on the cheek. I ran up the stairs my things in hand. 

I went to my room and wondered how I would decorate it. I didn't have a lot so I didn't really know what to do. I opened the box and took out the sleeping bag and rolled it out in the corner. I put the lantern beside it and made sure it worked. I went to the loft and sat on the the sleeping bag and turned the TV on to national geographic. 

I watched a documentary about turtles for a while before my dads said it was time for dinner. Dinner happened to be chinese takeout on the floor like a indoor picnic. "Oh Holly, we're going to go to the apartment to make sure we got the all of our stuff for awhile, so Uncle Frank and Aunt Hazel are going to come and watch you." 

What! I thought I was old enough not to need a babysitter. "It's not that we don't trust you it's just in case there's a monster attack there's someone here to protect you." Will said calmly. "Ok that sounds good." I replied. We ate our takeout and after a while they had to go. "I'm going to call them, they should be here by now." Nico said worriedly. 

He walked to the office and I heard a rushed conversation on the phone. "They're going to be here in a couple minutes." He said. Me noticing how stressed he was, said "Dad what's wrong, is Aunt Hazel okay?" "Yeah they just had to fight some monsters." Wow, I thought being a demigod, really was dangerous.
