The sunlight brightly shone on her face, causing her to squint and raise a hand to shield her eyes from the unforgiving sun. The sky was as clear as day and the temperature was high and she could feel herself starting to sweat underneath her jacket. The yellowed grass rustled under her boots as she walked into the station.

It had been quite a while since they came out of the car. Frankly speaking, she was tired of just sitting around and driving so for once—walking was a nice change of pace.

As the small group made their way into the derelict station, (Y/N) examined her surroundings closely. There was a small signboard with a bell attached to it, she could see the 'No trespassing' written with a black marker over the board. Clement walked ahead while she and AJ followed after him. She eyed every shadow and corner very attentively, hoping to see any zombies in advance.

A gasp from AJ made her look in his direction and up ahead, she noticed movement.

"It's a walker. ."

(Y/N) curiously glanced over Clement's shoulders and saw it as well. Clement spotted the walker behind the far end of the house and made his way towards it. (Y/N) was about to follow after him when he turned around and stopped her.

"Stay with AJ, I'll go take care of it." He sounded firm and although she wanted to protest, she sighed and just nodded. (Y/N) turned to face the kid beside her as Clement departed.

"What do you think about this place so far, AJ?"

"Uh, I dunno." AJ vaguely shrugged as he looked around, disinterested. "I'm happy as long as we find some food inside."

"Yeah. .I hope so too." She agreed, gazing at the run-down house in the middle of the station. It had been far too long since the last time she had eaten something. "It would be nice to find some food in advance."

It didn't take Clement long to kill the walker and come back. "It's down, you two still with me?"

"Still here, no bites" AJ replied, flashing a small grin and he nodded.

"Alright, it's time to go inside the house."

The three scouted the outer premise of the house, the house itself wasn't too big but it had a large yard surrounding it. It was mostly filled with trash but there was one thing in particular that caught (Y/N)'s interest.

A swing. It wasn't exactly the proper swing, just a tire tied to a rope and hung from a tree, but it looked fun.

Well, fun for a certain person.
