Teacher: I want you all to write a review of your favourite book.
Class: *Groans*
Pupil #1: We did this last week!
Teacher: Last week was the book you had finished most recently. This week is your favourite book.
Pupil #2: I don't have a favourite book!
Teacher: Then write it about any book you've read and liked.
Pupil #3: What if you've never read and liked a book?
Teacher: Then write it about any book you've read.
Pupil #4: How long does it have to be?
Teacher: About one side of A4.
Pupil #4: *Groans*
Pupil #5: Can I write a film review instead?
Teacher: No. It has to be a book, and you have to have actually read it.
Class: *Groans again*
Me: Do I have to do only one? I've got too many favourites!
Teacher: You can do as many as you like...
Me: And do I have to limit them to one side of A4, cos I can only really summarize one ship in that space, even if I use really small font.
Teacher: They can be as long as you want, but remember what I told you last week. It has to make sense this time!
Me: It made sense to me! And to all other fangirls!
Teacher: *sighs* When using a term not used in everyday English by a person who I not a fangirl, you must explain the meaning of the term! And for the last time, "asdfghjk" is not a word!
Me: *under my breath* Go to Tarturus, you ignorant, unworthy, pile of schist!
