"Hey Baby." Stana said after she took the call from her fiancé. "Hey, I just wanted to make sure you would make it to our date night." Nathan said in the sexiest way he could come up with. "Of course. I would do anything not to miss it," he was practically able to hear her smile through the phone, "It feels like I haven't seen you in months. I'm so happy we're done with all that planning now." Her voice fell a little bit. "Yeah, I know. But still, I can't wait to dance our first dance as husband and wife with you." Stana chuckled. "Oh god!" "Stana are you okay? What happened?" "Nothing... I just remembered that we still haven't chosen the songs." "Oh God..." He groaned, "You're right. But I don't want to ruin our night." "Me neither... How about I take a cab back home and we do it in the car?" "Sounds good to me." Nathan said in a sing-sang voice. After Stana finally got a taxi they started on taking the list with the songs on her one hour ride back to their apartment. They got many beautiful songs. The first they decided on was, of course, In My Veins. It would be the song playing when they were dancing their first dance together. (Those are the songs they got: https://open.spotify.com/user/miagraninger/playlist/7cTw0Pcq4JSotfuUqAjNAM?si=U6enPaCrQZGBa-ulxAKSjQ) "Ok, I should be there in about ten mins." "Ok, I love you. Bye Hun-hun." "Stop calling me that. I love you too. Bye" "Ok Hun-hun." After that Nathan hung up as fast as possible before Stana could say anything else.

Stana's POV
"Uhm Excuse me, but shouldn't we be there already?" I asked the driver about twenty minutes later. "No actually the drive is a bit longer than thought. I would say one or two more hours maybe." From somewhere I knew that voice but I couldn't remember from where. "What!?! I think I will just walk. Let me out please." It was a red traffic light infront of us and the driver stopped and locked the doors. "I'm afraid I cannot do that." He said as he turned to me with a gun in his hands.

Nathan's POV
"Where is she?" I asked myself with a look to my wach. It has been three hours since we talked on the phone and back then she said she would be here in ten minutes. I was so worried especially because Stana didn't pick up when I called her. Then suddenly my phone rang. My heart skipped a beat when I saw my lovely fiancée's face on the screen. "God Stana, what happened? Why didn't you pick up and why are you so late? I was worried about you!!!" I was so happy that she called. It felt like a extremely heavy thing got lifted off my chest. "You were right to be worried Nathan..." The moment I heard the man on the other side of the line I stopped breathing. "I have your fiancée and if you don't give me a million dollars till sunset tomorrow you will never see her again. Bring the money to the old bench on the beach where you and Stana used to go on your walks. Call me when you did so. Do not call the police. Every hour I will hurt her in some way, every time something different, as soon as the sun is gone tomorrow I will kill her in the most painful way I can think of, if you don't give me what I want." Then the man ended the call. I was shocked as hell. That couldn't be possible. I couldn't lose her. I didn't want to think of a world without her. I didn't know what to do if she was gone.

Nathan was already at a bank, to get a credit so he could give the Kidnapper what he wanted, when he got a message from an unknown number. It was a video. He clicked play and immediately wished he hadn't done that. It was a video of Stana. Her mouth was sealed with duck tape and her wrists and ankles were tied up. He could see the fear in her eyes, it was horrible and then Nathan saw a hand appearing on the picture. A voice behind the camera said "The first hour is over." Then the hand wrapped around Stana's neck and squeezed her throat. It did that for another five minutes before the Kidnapper stopped and released her again. Stana was crying in the video and Nathan had tears in his eyes too.

Stana's POV
My lungs were burning. I was in a small apartment in what I think was Bakersfield. I've been there for about half an hour when my kidnapper and ex-boyfriend, Kris Brkljack, first called Nathan over my phone. It was horrible. I was so scared. Kris said that he wanted a million dollars for my freedom and every hour he hadn't gotten a call that he would get the money, he would hurt me. "So you really chose him over me." Kris stated but I did nothing. "Does he make you happy?" I still did nothing. "I asked does he make you happy?!" I winced at his harsh tone but then slightly nodded. I felt a sudden pain on my left cheek. "He shouldn't. You are mine. I should be the one that makes you happy and nobody else." A single tear escaped my eye as Kris talked to me like that. "Soon you're going to be all mine. As soon as your stupid ex-fiancé gives me my money I will take you to a sweet little island where we are all by ourselves." I was shocked at the realization that Kris wouldn't let go of me when he got the money.
