"Family of Nathan Fillion?" A nurse asked and Stana practically jumped on her. "Yes?" "Mr. Fillion had some serious lacerations and bruises on the back of his head and in his face but we were able to fix it, so he will recover completely within the next one or two weeks." "Can I see him?" Stana asked impatiently. "Yes, he's awake but it would be better if he would rest as much as possible." The nurse, Cindy, answered calmly. "Of course... I will be quiet." Stana smiled and then rushed to Nathan's room.
Stana's POV
"Hey." I whispered softley as I caressed Nate's slightly bruised cheek very carefully. "Hi." He said with a raspy voice. "I'm so sorry for all of this." I didn't dare to look at him. "It's not... your fault... can I have... some water?" Nathan asked coughing in between words. "Yeah..." I slightly liffted his head and laid the cup to his lips. "Thanks." Nathan's voice was much clearer now. "I love you. I'm sorry I scared you." "I love you too. But I won't talk to dad for a while. Not until he excused himself for what he did to you." I said with a stern voice. "Can I have a kiss?" "Sure..." I giggled and placed a sweet kiss on his lips. Two days later Nathan was released from the hospital, but was still on bed rest. My mum had excused for dad a million times, but we hadn't heard anything from him yet, so I didn't try to talk to him either. As the weeks passed and christmas came closer, we slowly got over the events from thanksgiving. The holidays we spent only with our friends and simply called our relatives and sent postcards. Nathan's present for me was fabulous. He got me a little locket necklace with an ultrasound picture of our baby and a picture, we took at one of our first Dates. With the necklace there was a note. It said:Go to the second floor, the third door on the right. ❤️
As far as I knew that room was just a bigger broom closet, next to our bedroom, but when I opened the door I was completely stunned. The floor was covered completely with a fluffy white carpet and the walls were colored in a pastel pink colour with cream coloured butterflies and flowers. There were two big windows, on the left wall and wall opposite to the door, that brightened up the whole room. On the right side there was a white crib with a mobile hanging over it. On the mobile there were dancing many little blue and clear crystal unicorns made off glass. On the left side there was a changing table under the window and on its left side was a big white closet with purple details on it. Next to the other window was a rocking chair in a light wood pattern. In the middle of the room there was hanging a chandelier from the ceiling. In the bed were some soft toys and a fluffy cream blanket with colorful dots on it. I hugged Nathan as tight as possible and kissed him. It was beautiful. That was the best Christmas I had ever experienced untill that day.
The days flew by and before they knew it Thursday the 2nd April 2015 had cone. Next week was Stana's due date and they both were nervous as hell. With her hormones it hadn't been easy to continue her work as an actress but somehow she had managed. They had been able to keep the news away from the press, although there had been theories because of Beckett getting pregnant so out of the sudden. There was a premier party tonight and Stana wanted to go and show the world her baby bump. Nathan had been unsure at first, he hadn't been convinced by the idea of getting her to so much action, but in the end he had agreed to it. Stana had decided on a rather tight dress wich made her bump look even a bit bigger and now they were sitting in the limousine on their way to the party. "Last chance to change you mind." Nathan said when the car stopped. "No, I'm sure about this." "Okay..." He sighed and opened the door for her. As soon as the paparazzi saw her swollen baby belly, they literally freaked out and started screaming questions. The evening was an absolute success. The next morning the magazines and newspapers were full of headlines like: Nothing was fake, Stana Katic Pregnant.
Castle baby on it's way, Stana and Nathan and their family.
Castle-star Stana with enormous belly.
Not only on screen, favorite pair of crime-actors as parents.
The Caskett Baby in real life.
Why didn't they tell? Stana Katic pregnant.
Secret lifted! The truth why Stana Katic was gone for so long.
Fans are shocked! Why didn't they tell?
And so on. The questioning and rumoring got so much that the couple decided to post a video with an explanation. In the video there was Stana snuggeled into Nathan's side with their hands intertwined on her stomach. They confirmed that Stana was really pregnant and that they kept it a secret for so long, because they had to deal with it themselves first and also that they kept it away from their families a long time too. What they didn't tell, was the geder, the name, the due date and every other personal information. After that stuff was done they got many coments with congratulations.
Nathan's POV a couple days later
On Stana's last day all the crew members gave a little party for her, with cake and gifts and everything, which was acually really nice. Now Stana has been on maternity leave since her due date six days ago but the baby still isn't here. We had been worried and went to hospital the day after Lily was supposed to arrive. The doctors said that some babies just need more time and gave her two weeks. If she didn't get out by then, they would have to get her with a c-section and I knew Stana really didn't want that. "Nate, what if something's wrong with her?" Stana pulled me out of my thoughts. "Nothing is wrong... on the ultrasound everything was perfectly fine, our little princess just needs a bit more time." I tried to soothe her a bit as I placed my hands on her belly. "Hopefully..." Stana whispered and I kissed her head.Another three days passed without anything happening and most of our family and friends came over from time to time to check on us. I hoped so much that everything would be alright so my wonderful wife wouldn't have to spend her birthday in hospital.
Stana's POV
It was already the 18th April and I was so scared. I wanted my precious little daughter to be alright. I've been extremly tired those past weeks. Lily has been sucking the energy out of my body and I couldn't sleep at night because of all the thoughts circling around my head and the kicks she gave me. I was cuddled up against Nathan in bed. He was sleeping deeply even snoring a bit, it ws absolutely adorable. The clock read 1:03 am as I looked over to it. All of the sudden I felt a sharp pain rush through my whole body and for a second I couldn't breathe. As fast as the pain came it was gone again and I relaxed again. About ten minutes later I felt that pain again, more intense this time. "Nate..." I cried out, but he didn't react. "Nate..." Still no reaction. "Nathan!" I screamed into his ear, which woke him up immediately. "What? I'm awake! What's wrong?" He stuttered. "Nate I think I'm having contractions." I pressed out as another wave of pain hit me.
