Chapter Four Return To Richmond

Gabe felt his hatred of Lilly increase with every step he took towards Richmond. She was walking a few paces behind him with a pistol pointed at his back even though his hands were tied. They were traveling with a armed escort, Lilly had told Gabe that the main force had already arrived and was waiting for them.

After a few hours of silence Gabe suddenly burst out, "Let me go! Now!"

Lilly shook her head, "And why would I do that?"

"Because...I'll hunt you down and kill you if you don't." Gabe said, his rage making his words low and dangerous.

"Do your worst. I'm not afraid of a fucking pandered teenager." Lilly said, a disdainful look on her face.

"Then untie me and I'll show you what I can do!" Gabe yelled, his anger getting the better of him.

"I'm sure you'd love that,wouldn't you Gabriel? So I'm not going to untie you,as much as I would like to teach you a lesson." Lilly said, a smug smile on her face that enraged Gabe all the more.

Gabe stopped walking, his whole body shaking in rage. "Keep moving." Lilly said,as she stopped behind him.

"Why don't you fucking make me?!" Gabe snarled, he didn't care if Lilly hurt him, he wanted her close enough so he could hurt her.

"I said 'move'." Lilly said dangerously, she was standing right behind him now....

"No." Gabe said, cold hatred in his voice.

"You want to do this the hard way?" Lilly asked stepping in front of Gabe with her knife drawn. She cut a gash down the side of his face. Gabe felt his fury overflow in him and he head-butted her face with all his angry force.

"You fucking little piece of shit!" Lilly yelled clutching her bleeding nose.

Gabe didn't mind the cut, it felt good to hurt the woman who had taken him from the girl he loved.

"C'mon then! You want another one?!" Gabe yelled, taunting Lilly.

She gave him a look of pure hatred, "I swear if I didn't need you alive right now-"

Gabe interrupted her, "Well you do! So shut your mouth,you fucking bitch!" Gabe breathed deeply, he wanted nothing more then to hurt Lilly, to make her regret ever messing with him.

'She's a fucking cold-hearted bastard! She took me from Clementine and she tortured Charlie! She's going to use me against Javi and my dad! I won't back down from her!' Gabe thought, his rage continuing to grow.

Lilly stared at him with loathing and....interest?

"Well,fucking bring it! I'm not afraid of you!" Gabe said, determined to hit Lilly again.

Lilly wiped her bloody nose, "You're even more of a fighter then I anticipated...too bad you chose the wrong side."

"Now,move." Lilly said,calmly. It would've scared Gabe normally to see her so calm but his rage blocked out his fear.

"I'm not moving." Gabe replied,coldly.

Lilly shot Charlie(who was handcuffed and had been walking behind them)in the knee. Charlie yelled out in pain and fell to the ground, clutching his bleeding knee.

"Move." Lilly said, the smug smile back on her face.

Gabe's angry slowed, he had to keep moving or she would kill Charlie.

Gabe started walking forward as one of Lilly's men dragged Charlie into one of their carts. "That's right, Gabe. Keep walking." Lilly said mocking him.

Gabe felt his rage begin to burn again as Lilly continued, "You may think you're strong but the truth is,you're a weak little boy, Gabriel. You let yourself be hindered by people who can't do anything in return for you. You let Charlie weigh you down,Gabriel. Only the strong will survive and you? You're not one of them. You'll die,because you'll let yourself get attached and you won't know when to cut your losses."

"I'll live longer then you! Because I'll make sure I live long enough strangle the life from your body!" Gabe snarled. He never been so angry in his life and he was actually scaring a part of himself.

Lilly ignored his outburst, "Your anger makes you strong but your loyalty makes you weak. If you hadn't let your weakness weigh you down, you would not be my prisoner right now."

"You're wrong! My friends make me strong, we look out for each other and our bonds give us something to fight for!" Gabe replied, thinking of Clementine.

"And where are your friends now, Gabriel? You can't count on 'friends'. The only one you can trust is yourself! Never forget that." Lilly said in disgust.

"Fuck you!",Gabe answered and they continued walking in silence.

As the sun was setting Gabe saw it. Richmond. He had come home like he had promised but Gabe wished he was anywhere but here.

Gabe woke suddenly and he clutched his throbbing head. He was so close now, less the a day away...He just hoped he wasn't too late.
