Hieru started by trying to punch me on the face, but I dodged and pushed the fist back to him, making him hit his own face.

"OW!" Hieru screeched as he stumbled back a bit.

I took advantage of his loss of balance to sweep his legs off the ground. He fell to the ground with a thump.

I was about to hold him down when he suddenly whipped out his gun and aimed it at me.

Without any hesitation, though, I lunged for the gun and knocked it off his hands in 5 seconds flat.

Then I grabbed his gun arm. Pulling him back up, I twisted it to behind his back and whispered, "You messed with the wrong person, Hieru."

"Heh, you're wrong, Aruke. YOU're the one who messed with the wrong person," Hieru suddenly twisted his arm back, causing me to spin and turn around, with my arm now being held by Hieru.

He pushed me to the ground, pressing hard on my arm while his knee was pressuring my spine. I struggled to get up, but he pushed me down again.

"Give it up, Aruke, and I might consider sparing you," he offered.

"Never!" I shouted back.

"Very well then. This is your death wish!" he growled as he gave me more pressure.

I mentally screamed in pain, but I bit my lip so that it wouldn't show.

How do I defeat this guy? I wondered to myself. He's stronger than me and I obviously can't twist out of it. It'll destroy me physically. If only I could get his grip to lighten up enough...

Suddenly, a light-bulb went off in my head. I don't like doing this, but desperate times call for desperate measures, I suppose.

With Hieru's knee digging into my back, I quickly put my plan to action.

"Hey, Hieru! Is that all you got?" I called out.

"Huh?" Hieru stopped his pushing, but kept his position. "What are you talking about?"

"I mean, you got to be stronger than this. This is nothing."

"What?!" I could feel his grip tighten, but he was loosening up due to the inability to control his anger.

"I wonder why the Dark Balancers haven't offed you yet. You seem pretty weak to me."

He growled as he let go of me, spun me around and grabbed my shirt, "Look, kid-"

He realised his mistake too late.

I punched him to the left and quickly spun around, crouching into a running pose so I could land safely.

Once I was stable, I turned around to see Konju now exchanging punches with Kugewa. I grinned happily before I turned back just in time to block an attack from Hieru.

"The Dark Balancers will get the Fluctuation Artefact no matter what," he hissed out as he tried to punch me. I swiftly dodged.

"You guys shouldn't count on it," I replied, "Cause I'm not planning on giving it away. I'm its wielder from now on, so if you want to get it, then you'll have to go through me!" I backed away and gave him a sideward kick to the face.

He grabbed my foot and pulled it towards him, but I leaned in forward, stretching out my arms to lock his head before hitting his head with mine.

THAT made him lose his balance, but I got a bump on my head and ended up falling on top of him. Luckily,  I got off and pulled him to his feet before I pushed him the same time Konju mirrored my actions to Kugewa.

I glared at the two of them, "Leave now, or we won't be lenient." as I got into a battle stance once more.

Hieru growled as he pointed at us, "This isn't the last you'll see of us! We'll get the Fluctuation Artefact, whether you like it or not. We WILL find the Fate Changer, and we WILL create a new multiverse!" before he and Kugewa ran off.

Konju blinked, "Huh? What are they talking about?"

"Are you asking me or telling me?" I shot back. "I'm just about as confused as you. Why are they after the Fate Changer?"

"I have no idea either, but no one knows who the current Fate Changer is, to be honest," Konju admitted. "He disappeared years ago. Some say he was killed, but others say that he got tired of the constant badgering for good endings to the point of madness."

"Ouch," I winced. "That's really sad."

"Yeah," Konju nodded.

There was a bit of silence between us before I turned back to look at him, "We should probably get back home. My dad is bound to be worried sick."

"True," my friend laughed. "Let's go then."

"Ah," I grinned before we turned around to go back home, chatting and laughing.
