"KONJU!" I called out to said Borrowed Actor as he jogged over to where I was standing in the park of our hometown.
"ARUKE!" he tackled me into a hug. "It's been a while!"
"Oh!" I smiled back. "How has life been treating you? I hope I wasn't so harsh on you!"
"Nope!" Konju laughed. "Some of the jobs I had to take in some dimensions weren't that hard, and I got tons of money from it! So I guess you can say that you made me rich!"
"Ah, thanks," I sheepishly rubbed the back of my head.
"But anyway, I hope you're not too tired these days. I mean, you've been switching between dimensions for so long, I'm actually worried that you might collapse one of these days."
"Not really," I smiled. "I've been kind of free these days, to be honest."
"Huh?" He blinked as he looked at me, confused.
I grinned, "Reaper and Mister Movien have been dealt with. Akino's group and the LEs have done their tasks."
"Wow! You really did it!" Konju smiled proudly. "You're truly the Battleship Strategist, Aruke!"
"Thanks, though have you progressed at all in finding-"
"Tomako's book? Nope, not at all. From what I could find out, though, there is only 1 copy left."
"Good to know, but," I frowned, "it'll be hard to find. I mean, a book with that kind of information would be guarded ferociously by its holder. That thing could cause the apocalypse in this era."
"True, but let's not talk about it," Konju slung an arm around my shoulder. "For now, let's talk about us, all right?"
"All right then," I smiled. "So, what should we talk about?"
--++--++--++
"My braincells have depleted," Konju dramatically joked to me as the two of us walked back to the park after a brief game of roleplaying in the woods.
I laughed, "You're exaggerating!"
"Am not!" he pouted.
"Are too!"
"Am not!"
"Are too!"
The two of us burst out in laughter before we headed off for our treehouse, climbing it and entering it.
"It hasn't changed at all since we last saw it, huh?" Konju smiled as he sat on a beanie. I joined him after going to the fridge that we had installed a few years ago to take out some drinks.
"Looks like Chaos still looks after the fridge," I chuckled, passing a drink to him.
"True," he smiled.
There was a brief silence before I mused, "Huh, I can't believe it's been 27 years since we stopped the Dark Balancers."
"Gotta agree with you on that, Ruke," Konju grinned.
"It's kind of amazing that our friendship could stand time's obstacles, though," I remarked.
Konju smiled, "Probably cause we're awesome!"
I giggled, "Yeah, yeah, whatever helps you sleep at night Konju."
He grinned back, "Don't you mean, whatever helps me sleep at MIDNIGHT?"
"NO!" I playfully hit him. "How could you Konju!"
"Ahahahahaha!" he smirked as he suddenly tackled me. "I got ya!"
"Let me go Konju!" I protested back with a smile on my face.
"Never! Nyahahahhahahahahahaha!" he cackled out.
The two of us ended up spending the night there, unaware of the adventures that awaited us...
The end....
Or is it?~
