Cinderella

The girl's tears were stories filled with grief and lament. A forgotten and lost child stuck between hopes and crushed dreams. Hours of non stop working, with little love and care. No praise for the poor soul or the work she had done. It had fell on deaf ears.

All but the spirits deep within the ground, who listened keenly of her story. They cried for her as if they were her. They understood her pain unlike any other.

One day, her story was like no other before. It full of hatred and anger; the need for revenge weeping into each and every spirit.

Satan, ruler of hell, smiled their crooked smile filled with sharp edges and fangs. He ordered for the godmother, an aged woman with kind features, as she'd like to put on, to assist the raging girl.

"We'll see how far she'll go. Perhaps we'll find a strong one this time."

The godmother smiled a grotesque smile.

Ella sat, standing on the balcony, looking at bustling streets filled with markets and shops. Goods on full display as the best sales were being called. She remembered being down there, a list in her hand with all the needed goods her "family" had given to her. It was a tiring job no doubt, but a lot more enjoyable than the time spent near furnaces and fires.

Suddenly, there was a knock at her door. She muttered a quick come in and the door opened, revealing The Godmother.

She had on a wicked smile, as if to signal the beginning. Ella smiled back, just as wickedly.

"I'd though you'd never come." Ella mused.

"My dear, of course I would. This is too important to just skip after all." The Godmother replied in that sickeningly sweet voice.

Ella pointed towards her closet. "The prince wasn't much of a fighter, surprisingly."

The Godmother only chuckled.

Through the halls and the entire castle, the bodies of every single person to live there later dead and bloody.

No alarm would ring.

The revenge had begun.
