I don't care how many times I see it, I will never get used to it.

Cassie being with that twat of a professor made me angry. Something about him wasn't right. Not only was he old enough to be her dad, but something tells me he's only using her for good lay. I know I'm not one to talk, but I love my girl, I would die for her. He doesn't love her, I can see it.

Watching him kiss her on the cheek after class was painful. It made me want to knock all of his teeth out. I can't help but smile when I think about how we kissed this morning. Bloody hell, her lips are still so soft and plump. She kissed back, so I know she wanted it, wanted me. It's that professor that keeping her from me.

All she needs is time. She needs time to realize what he's using her for. If she's going to be with someone, then it should be with someone who cares for her. Yes, even if it's not me. All I want is to see her happy. That's all I'll ever want for her for as long as I live.

I shouldn't have said what I did after dropping her off at her room. That was stupid of me. I'm ruining any chance I have with getting back with her, or even being close to her. I wish I could take it all back. That night, I was such a prick and I knew the consequences. What in the hell is wrong with me?

"Knock, knock," a voice said, making me jump from my thoughts. I looked up and saw Lee's friend Pat start to walk into Aaron and I's room. "Oh, sorry," she said, "is Aaron here? We were supposed to grab some dinner." I shook my head and told her, "No, sorry, I think he's at the library. Something about a last minute test tomorrow."

Pat rolled her eyes. "That's Aaron, I suppose," she sighed. "Well, you wouldn't happen to be hungry, would you? I'm starving and I don't want to walk around a dark campus alone." I didn't really know this girl, she usually hung out with Aaron and Lee, but from what I've gauged, she seems nice enough.

I put down my notebook and pencil and told her, "Yeah, I guess I could eat. Where were you thinking?"

We ended up going to the campus café and she was right, it was a good thing she didn't go alone. It was Friday and all sorts of guys were drunk and bothering the girls. I really hoped Cass was alright and not walking back to her room alone, whenever that may be. The least that prick Michael can do is escort her home.

When we got to the café, we got our food and sat down at a table. This was starting to feel like a first date and I couldn't help but think that she intended it to be that way. "So, you used to date Cassie, right?" She asked.

I nearly choked on my food. "Erm...yes," I told her. "Why do you ask?" She brushed her long brown hair behind her ears and gave me kind of a shy look. Oh, no...she intends on this being a date. Before she could say anything, I told her, "Pat, look...I think you're a good person. I mean, I don't really know you, but from what I've heard, you seem great. It's just that, well, I love Cassie. I took this breakup really hard and it wouldn't be fair to bring you into the middle of it."

She seemed almost embarrassed and brought her hair back over her ears. I felt bad for her because I didn't want her to feel this way. "That explains why her and Lee told me you were off limits," she said. I looked at her oddly. "What?" I asked. She nodded as she said, "They told me you were off limits. Obviously it's because Cassie still has a thing for you."

No bloody way. She's been telling girls I'm off limits. Holy shit, she still has a thing for me! I couldn't help the smile on my face, which didn't go unnoticed by Pat. "Why don't you go talk to her?" She asked. My smiled faltered. I hated of thinking about her with another man. "She's...well, she's with her new boyfriend. Professor Fassbender, he teaches English."

I noticed her eyes widen. "Professor Fassbender?" She asked. She suddenly started laughing. "Yeah, like he would ever be a boyfriend. He's got a reputation around here, apparently. My roommate, she's been here for two years now, she thought she was dating him for nearly a year, but then he broke her heart. Gave her some speech about how he cared for her and yada yada. Anyways, she broke it off and he flunked her. She tried reporting it to the Dean, but he dismissed it as her being a resenting girlfriend. Anyways, he ruined her perfect record of straight A's since elementary school."
