Desiring the Darkness

You dipped your toes into the darkness,
At first it was cold,
Shivers down your spine,
No one ever told you it feeled this way,
So you went away,

But slowly you were desiring for more,
So you went back to the darkness
And you were feeling the coldness again,
But this time you did not get out of the darkness,
You walked further in it,

But now the darkness does not feel cold anymore,
It feels warm and cozy,
So you stay in the darkness,

And that is how you knew you lost your last sunshine,
You can never swim back,
You are already drowning,
In your own darkness,
