The next day, Grace had done her best to avoid Troy and his bunch. Every time she did come across him, she made sure to have her earbuds, especially around Andrew. Of course, she would still talk to Sam and Luke but they had no idea what was going on. At lunch, she would either sit with her older brothers or by herself, working on homework. Grace walked towards her class and heard Troy call out her name, "Grace! Grace, wait! I need to talk to you!"

However, his calls had gone ignored once again. Chad noticed this and saw the disappointment and saddened look on his best friend's face. He turned to his other friends and gave them a look that told them to follow him. A few minutes later, the friends went up onto the roof to find Troy sitting by himself with ma look of sadness on his face. Chad cleared his throat and said, trying to cheer Troy up, "Hey, Zeke made some amazing cookies. We just came up to see if you wanted some." Troy turned and replied, glaring slightly, "No, thanks." After that, he pushed through his friends and stormed off, leaving them with guilty expressions.

After school, Taylor and Chad had decided to meet up to see what they can do to get their friends better. They knew it was their fault but they thought they were being taken away from them. Taylor walked up to Chad and he said, "Troy's not talking to me or the guys. I think Coach's going to notice sooner or later. Andrew told me that he and Grace had a fight and that they never fought until now. We've got to do something." Taylor nodded and replied, "Grace won't speak to me or any of the band kids at all. They told me that their director even asked what was going on during their class. The only people she would talk to are her older brothers, Gabby, Kelsi, and Ryan."

The two stopped talking when they saw Troy at the corner of their eyes watching Grace. He called out to her but his calls for her were ignored. Chad looked down at the ground after Troy turned to look at him and glared. Taylor nodded her head once again and said, knowing that Troy has never glared at anyone before, "Okay, we need to do something and fast. They're not going to last long."
