The next day, Grace helped tutor a young trumpet player and looked at the time on her iWatch. She smiled sadly at the boy and said to him, "Sorry, I gotta go. You got this, bud." She rushed out of the band room, startling some of her friends who smiled at seeing her happy again. Grace zipped up her backpack as she ran towards the place she was supposed to meet Troy and closed her trumpet case, after putting her trumpet in there. She spotted her best friend at his locker, leaning against it, and he said, "You're late." Grace just shoved him playfully which caused him to shove back. Unknown to them, Chad and Taylor were hiding behind a wall as they watched their friends happy together again. Chad turned to Taylor and high-fived her.

The next day, Grace walked into the lobby with Troy and their friends. She spotted Kelsi standing in front of a poster that said that the callbacks were rescheduled to the same day as the game. She groaned in frustration and said, just as Troy and their friends noticed the poster as well, "Are you bloody kidding me?! They rescheduled the callbacks!" Troy said, knowing that Grace had to do pep band with the basketball game, "What?! It's the same time as the game." Chad groaned as well and said, then said to Kelsi, "I smell a rat named Ms. Darbus. *He noticed Kelsi* Do you know anything about this.............small person?" Kelsi turned to Troy and Grace and said to them, "I smell two rats and neither of them are Ms. Darbus. Ms. Darbus thinks she's saving the show but she's not. Sharpay and Ryan are doing this for their own gain."
Grace felt betrayed by Ryan, he knew that she and Troy were auditioning. He only was following Sharpay's orders and that's what made it worse. Chad began to get angry and said, causing Andrew and his older brothers to hold him back, "You wanna know what I'm gonna to do to those show dogs?" Troy turned to his friends and said, causing Grace to smile, "No, we're not going to do anything to them expect sing, maybe. This is only going to happen if we work together. Now, who's with me?" Troy put his hand in the middle and everyone began to cover his hand with theirs. They cheered and said, "Go Wildcats!!"
