Grace stood in the stands as she cheered on her brother, her best friend, and the basketball team. When Troy made the winning goal, she grabbed her trumpet and they began to play their school's fight song. After they finished, the band kids were allowed to go down to the gym floor and celebrate the win with the others. Grace ran over to Troy and said, jumping onto his back, "Congratulations, Wildcat!!" Troy laughed and replied, setting Grace back on her feet, "Thanks. You were pretty good too. I heard you playing your trumpet." Grace smiled at Troy then was pulled away by Taylor who squealed and said to her, as she led her over to where Gabriella was, "Chad just asked me out!!!" Grace laughed at her friends while Taylor and Gabrielle squealed.
She just shaked her head with a fond smile and was pulled over by Troy. Before Troy could make a move, Grace was pulled away again but this time by Sharpay. Sharpay smiled Grace and she said, "Hey, Grace. My parents, Ryan, and I were planning on going on vacation for spring break. I was wondering if you wanted to come with us." Grace smiled and replied, but then remembered what her mother said, "Oh, I'm sorry, Sharpay. My mum and dad wanted to go back to England so we can spend the week with my mum's side of the family. Maybe next spring break, we can." Sharpay grinned and said, giving Grace her phone number, "Here, I'll give you my phone number and we can text each other, get to know each other." Grace smiled and replied, as she gave Sharpay her phone number, "Great!" Sharpay said with a smile, before going off to see Zeke, "Fabulous!"
Finally seeing the opportunity to talk to Grace, Troy walked over to her and smiled sheepishly. He cleared his throat and said, causing Grace to turn around, "Grace? Would you do the honor of being my girlfriend?" Grace smiled and replied, then whispered, "Of course. You do realize that you are going to be dating the Princess of England, right? My grandmother will soon find out and it will not go well." Troy smiled and said, before bringing the girl into a kiss, "I think I'll manage."
