The game began right after school and Grace was in the stands preforming her solo part that was in the song. Everyone clapped for her as she finished and she sat down. Grace watched the game then at her iWatch and she shouted, "Go, Troy!!! Go, Drew!!!!!" Troy heard his best friend's shouts and it kept him going, the same for Andrew. Suddenly, the lights went off in the gym which sent the crowd into a frenzy. Grace took the chance and ran down the bleachers, making sure that her band director didn't see her. She ran over to Troy, Chad, and Andrew and she said to Troy, "Troy, we gotta go the auditorium now or we'll loose our chance to audition." Troy began to worry about his dad and Chad said, "Just go, man. Drew and I will handle your dad." Troy and Grace ran out of the gym and towards the auditorium. Grace bursted into the auditorium and shouted to Ms. Darbus, "We're here, Ms. Darbus!!!"

Ms. Darbus turned at the sound of Grace's shouting and heard Sharpay say something to Ryan, not happy about the girl showing up. Ms. Darbus said, as Troy and Grace ran onto the stage just as people began to pile into the auditorium to see them audition, "I have called your names about five times, Ms. Anderson and Mr. Bolton. And did I recieve an answer? No!" Grace looked at her teacher with desperation and said, "Please, Ms. Darbus." Sharpay grinned at the audience and said to Ms. Darbus, "We'll gladly do our number again for our peers, Ms. Darbus." Troy said, "We'll sing without a piano." Kelsi said, arriving at the scene, "Oh, no, you won't. Pianist is here, Ms. Darbus." Ms. Darbus grinned and said to Ryan and Sharpay, "Now, that's show biz. Let's get this show on the road."

Grace and Troy were handed mics and they stood in the center of the stage. Grace's eyes began to widened at how big the crowd is. From the audience, Andrew stood with his older brothers and Chad. He noticed his twin sister's eyes began to widen and he said, "Oh, no. This is bad." Chad looked at his friend with confusion and replied, "Why? What's wrong?" Andrew turned to his friend and said, "Grace gets stage fright whenever she is on stage in front of a big crowd." Chad's confused mode went into concerned mode and he turned back to watch his other friends.

On the stage, Troy noticed his friend's eyes were widened in fear and he began to get concerned. He calmed down and said to Grace, "Grace, look at me. *Grace turned to him, her bright eyes filled with fear* You can do this, Gracie. Just focus on me." That was when he began to sing.

(Troy):
We're soarin', flyin'
There's not a star in heaven that
We can't reach

(Grace, shyly):
If we're trying
So we're breaking free

(Troy):
You know the world can see us
In a way that's different than we are

(Grace, as she moved away from Troy, starting to have fun):
Creating space between us
'Till we're separate hearts

(Both, as they walked into together, standing in front of the moon prop):
But your faith it gives me strength
Strength to believe

(Troy, as he took Grace's hands into his):
We're breaking free!

(Grace, as she imitated a flying plane with her arms, after releasing her hand from Troy):
We're soarin'

(Troy, as he did the same thing):
Flyin'

(Both):
There's not a star in heaven
That we can't reach

(Troy, as he circled around Grace):
If we're trying

(Both):
Yeah, we're breaking free

(Troy):
Oh, we're breaking free

(Grace, as she smiled when she spotted her parents in the audience with Troy's mom):
Ohhhh

(Troy):
Can you feel it building
Like a wave the ocean just can't control

(Grace):
Connected by a feeling
Ohhh, in our very soul

(Both):
Rising 'til it lifts us up
So everyone can see

(Troy):
We're breaking free

(Grace, as she imitated an airplane again, 'flying' around Troy which caused him to smile):
We're soarin'

(Troy, as he did the same thing but around Grace):
Flyin'

(Both):
There's not a star in heaven
That we can't reach

(Troy):
If we're trying
Yeah, we're breaking free

(Grace):
Ohhhh, runnin'

(Troy):
Climbin'
To get to that place

(Both):
To be all that we can be

(Troy):
Now's the time

(Both):
So, we're breaking free

(Grace, as she watched her father walk over to Troy's father):
Ohhh, yeah

(Troy):
More than hope
More than faith

(Grace):
This is true
This is fate
And together

(Both):
We see it comin'

(Troy):
More than me
More than you

(Grace):
Not a want, but a need

(Both):
Both of us breakin' free

(Grace, as she imitated a flying plane again):
Soarin'

(Troy, as he did the same):
Flyin'

(Both):
There's not a star in heaven
That we can't reach
If we're trying

(Troy):
Yeah, we're breaking free

(Grace):
Breaking free
We're runnin'

(Troy):
Ohhhh, Climbin'

(Both):
To get to the place
That be all we can be
Now's the time

(Troy):
Now's the time

(Grace):
So, we're breaking free

(Troy):
Ohhh, we're breaking free

(Grace, as she looked at Troy who faced her):
Ohhhh

(Both, as Troy took Grace's hand into his):
You know the world can see us
In a different way that's different than who we are

Just as they finished, the auditorium was filled with cheers, clapping, and whistles. Grace panted from singing and said to Troy, with her British accent, "Well, I suppose that we did it, Wildcat." Troy let out a laugh and replied, "Yeah, we did." Chad ran up the stage and said to Troy, smiling at Grace, "Come on, cap. We got a game to finish." Troy and Chad, along with the rest of the basketball team and the band kids, ran out of the auditorium and towards the gym. Along the way, Grace was met by Sharpay and Ryan. Grace sighed and said to them, "Look, I'm really sorry, guys. But I gotta go. I have to go play with the band." Sharpay stopped Grace and said to her, "Grace, I just want you to know that I am sorry for how I treated you so far this year. Since I guess that I'm going to be the understudy for you and Ryan for Troy, I guess that we're going to have to be friends. I hope you can forgive me." Grace smiled and replied, "Of course, Sharpay." Sharpay smiled and said, "Oh, and break a leg." Grace looked at her with wide eyes and Sharpay said, laughing, "In theatre, that means good luck." Feeling better, Grace smiled at Sharpay then ran towards the gym.
