•Noah POV•

Luke picked her up and ran up the stairs with me trailing him.

It was like nothing happened. Like we didn't just go through all those problems that occured while we were trying to get free.

He carried her to the car and then got in beside her.

"Get in or you're staying here!" Luke ordered, probably wanting to make it to the medic before Leilani got progressively worse.

Carter and I jumped into the front of the SUV.

After we were both buckled in, Carter sped away.

•••

Fifteen minutes later, we were finally at the medic house.

The medic house is the place where everyone who gets hurt in the gang will go to get treated. Sometimes even the people that we save, like Leilani.

Our medic, Joseph, comes in whenever we call and he just meets whoever here, so he can treat them.

Joseph was going to have to do a lot to save Leilani.

Leilani had lost a lot of blood and her pulse was quickly weakening.

We all walked down to the examination room that was in the basement underneath the main floor. Luke was still carrying Leilani, who was still unconscious.

She looked dead. It was hard to even look at her. You could see how much more whiter she was than the first time we saw her at the diner.

I still felt bad that I couldn't do much and I want to change that. I will change that.

Helping people was why I helped Luke make the gang. We both made it to help people because that's what we like to do.

"Let me look at her," the medic said to Luke. Luke put her limp body on the exam table.

"This isn't good. Do you know her blood type is?"

"Yeah she is A-," Luke said like it was normal to know someone's blood type.
It didn't surprise me, but it kind of creeped me out, just a little.

Luke likes to know everything about everyone, especially if he is interested in them. He's just kind of nosey like that, but I would be too after what happened. He likes to protect himself and the ones he loves.

Joseph nodded his head and looked back at Leilani's cut.

"She's lucky that she's alive. Who put this tourniquet on her?" Joseph asked.

"I did," I responded. "Did I do it right, I have never done it before?"

"Yes, you did. It looks wonderful. Who taught you?" Joseph asked smirking already knowing the answer.

"You did, Joseph," I said shaking my head while grinning.

"Ok, now back to business. This cut is going to take about a month and a half to heal. I am going to give her some sedatives for about a week so she doesn't stress herself out and open her wound. I will stitch it up, but it's going to take a lot of stitches. When she gets off the sedatives, she is going to have to be very careful whenever she walks and moves around. Do you have any questions?" Joseph said, giving us the whole rundown.

"Will she be able to talk to any of us?" Luke asked which was a good question because we need to know what was going on in that house and what her dad did to her.

"She will be able to, but don't ask her too many questions because she might get stressed." Joseph explained.

"Okay so Noah, we'll talk to her after that week is up." Luke said to me.

"Alright that sounds good."

"You guys are going to have to get out so I can stitch her up, I don't want her to get stressed if you're in here." Joseph said, shooing us out.

Luke and I walked out of the room, but we didn't walk away from the door just in case we needed to help him.

We just sat on the chairs out there and waited.
