•Leilani POV•

I was still thinking about what happened the night before, who are those girls?

I got in the shower, the girls still on my mind.

I am supposed to be spending time with Max. Noah is going to come along.

He'll be there to protect us, but also hang out.

I've noticed that Noah and Max really get along so I know that he was taken care of when I was in the hospital and when I was trapped in that basement.

It's always been easy to trust Noah, but now it's even easier.

Once I was out of the shower and dressed, I walked down to Max's room.

He was still sleeping when I walked in and Noah was there picking an outfit for him.

I don't how Noah does is so good with Max with his reputation, but he does.

Everyone who's high up in the mafia always have a soft spot for someone, that someone is Max.

It makes the gang members seem like real people.

While Noah was picking out the clothes Max was going to wear, I went to wake him up.

"Max, baby, it's time to wake up. We're gonna have fun with Noah today, just you, me, and Noah doing whatever you want." I shook him a little trying to get him awake.

Max woke up and he wanted Noah to dress him so I let Noah do it.

I strolled to the kitchen and started to make my beloved pancakes.

By the time all the food was done, Max was dressed and the rest of the gang was sitting at the table, except Luke.

I shouldn't be surprised but I still was.

This time I just decided to leave it alone and not bother him.

There would be food left over. If he was that hungry he would come and get some.

I made Max and I a plate with blueberry pancakes, bacon, and hashbrowns.

Today was going to be a really good breakfast and I was excited to eat it with enjoyment.

I also grabbed the syrup and ketchup after I set down the plates I was carrying.

Max and I really enjoy our ketchup on our hashbrowns, it makes them so good.

We were all eating when we heard commotion upstairs, it was coming from Luke's office.

Noah immediately pushed his chair back and walked up the staircase to where Luke was at.

I was thinking if I should follow just to make sure and after a few seconds, I got up and followed Noah.

Everyone was still eating downstairs.

By the time I walked up the stairs, Noah was in the office because I heard him talking to Luke and trying to calm him.

Something is going on and I want to know.

I walked into the office and everything that was on Luke's desk was shoved off and onto the floor.

There was a smashed glass on the hardwood in front of Luke, he had a bottle of hard alcohol in his hand and most of it was gone.

He's been drinking, the room smelled of alcohol and weed.

I didn't know that he did that at all, I'm actually not supposed to see him like this.

He was crying too.

What was happening to him?

Noah was now whispering to him and I couldn't make out what he was saying to Luke.

The situation I heard last night is way worse than I thought.

I noticed that he was really breaking inside, I never thought I would see Luke like that.

He's a gang leader, most of them hide their feelings.

Noah knows I'm there because he saw he walk in but Luke doesn't.

After Noah talking to him to get him calmer, Luke turned around and noticed that I was there.

He realized that I saw the whole thing.

Luke then takes big steps towards me.

"Get out!" He seethed when he got close to my face.

"Why? There's something wrong, I'm not going to leave when my little brother is living here while you're drinking and smoking. I don't want things to happen to Max. I was told that he would be safe with you here, he won't be safe if all you're gonna do is drink." I said to Luke as calm as possible.

"I don't care, get the f**k out of my office. You're killing me inside, I drink because of you. This is all your fault. You're going to move out first thing tomorrow morning. I don't give a s**t about how you feel about that. I'm going to drink if I want. It's my house, now get out of my office!" Luke screamed in my face.

By now I had tears streaming down my face.

What am I going to do?

Where will I stay?

I can't pay for anything, all my money I gave to Noah to use for Max when I was gone.

I walked right out of Luke's office but not after shoving him away from my face.

I sat on my bed and cried.

After a few minutes I made myself stop and go pick up the breakfast I made.

No one asked what happened when I came down, they heard it all.

They were all in shock and so was I.
