Years began to pass, quicker than I'd like them to. Steve and I grew closer since that night at Coney Island, where we confessed our feelings on the pier. But everything else seemed to stay the same, the world continued to be in a depression as the war waged on. Peoples closest friends and family started to be drafted to war or volunteering to serve their country, Bucky had talked about joining, which resulted in Steve wanting to enlist as well.
He hasn't brought it up, but I can see the look on his face when he sees the enlistment posters around the neighborhood. But I'm not too sure he'd even be eligible. But no matter what I suppose if he ever did bring it up I'd have to try and understand. We're in a relationship after all, there's gonna be ups and down.
