Chapter 42

Joe's POV

That was it. It's over. Highschool is over.

As I walk out of the school, as we can't wait outside other exams, I head home

Our graduation is next week but until then, Highschool is done, there is no more worrying, no more all nighters for revision, As I reach my house, Zoe runs out and hugs me

'Congrats Bro, you've finished high school'

'Thanks Zo'

Emma comes running out to me, I scoop her up and chuck her in the air

'Please be careful'

'Okay'

Emma mumbles some words, and we all walk inside the house, As it was now June, it was also Summer and it was scorching, I change my clothes and have a wash, as we all finished today, we are all heading down to the beach,

As I was sat on the couch, I get a text off Ben saying that they were all heading down now,

Dianne texted me saying she'd meet me there, so I set off to the beach, as I got there I saw everyone

Caspar, Josh, Chloe, Byron, Oli, Connor, Jack, Stacey, AJ, Ben and Amy,

As I walked down to them

'Hey guys'

'Hey' they said back

'Have you seen Dianne?'

'No not seen her since our final exam'

'Oh okay' it worried me slightly, but she must just be at a meeting as after collage she is going to be teaching at the school

After about half and hour she hadn't turned up, and I was getting worried

'Have you heard off Dianne yet Joe?' said Amy worryingly

'No, you?'

'No, and I'm getting worried'

Suddenly my phone vibrated and rung out

'Dianne? where are you?'

'Joe, don't worry i'm fine, but I might be a bit later than usual, I better go, I love you, see you soon'

'Love you too see you soon'

As I ended the call Amy stood up

'What did she say?'

'Not to worry and that she's gonna be a bit later than usual'

'Okay'

Dianne's POV

As I was coming out of my final exam, I told Amy i'd meet her by the beach, I texted Joe the same

Suddenly out of no where, Someone pulled me out of sight

'Max, WTF are you doing!?'

'This is what you deserve Buswell'

He punched me in the face, I feel my nose begin to bleed, he went to do it again, but I punched him in the face but 10 times harder

'Now Max I have already fucking told you twice now, why the bloody hell would you be hitting a girl after she has done nothing to you!' I roared

He stayed quiet and slid down the wall

'Your gay aren't you?'

'No i'm NOT!'

'You are aren't you, and you don't like it'

'No, my father doesn't'

I slid down the wall next to him

'Your doing this because you are annoyed as why girls, like your mother, in your head made you like this'

'maybe?'

'Doe-Does he hurt you?'

He lifted his top to show bruises

'God Max, you need to report this'

'it's getting better, besides why would you bother, you have the happy family'

'I didn't'

'Hu?'

'When my aunt passed away, I was sent to live with my other one, she beat me and bruised me until I would bleed, then one night when she escaped from prison, she tried to shoot me because I was happy and she thought I killed my parents even though they had the plague, they had caught it off someone when they went on holiday, it wasn't until Joe reported her that I was safe, she's now dead and i'm happy, because i'm safe and I can be who I am'

He just hugged me

'One of my friends, Harry, we want to be together, but my dad won't accept it'

'Does your mother and sister?'

'Yes'

'Well, only care for there opinion, as long as it is the right one'

'Sorry about punching you, I shouldn't have done it, and when I see her, i'm gonna apologise to Chloe aswell'

'It's okay and good, but I'd do it without Josh there, as I might not like you but I don't want you dead'

'Thank you Dianne'

'Your welcome Max'

As we hugged, he headed home and I headed to the beach, I forgot about the blood around my nose, as I reached Joe, he panicked and was angry

'Dianne who's punched you?'

'Max'

'Oh i'm gonna kill him'

Before he could leave I explained everything that had happed to Max, to everyone

'And Chloe he wants to apologise to you aswell, but when he's sorted things out'

'Okay, but I am still angry that he punched you' said Joe protectively

'Joe, I know you are but it's okay, he's already apologised and I punched him back so, anyway who's going down to the water?'

As we all headed down to the water, we surfed until midnight

As me and Joe lay down on the bed, we both fell into a deep sleep
