*i'm doing a time skip to Easter break*

Dianne's POV

Today is our last day in school until we go back in 2 weeks, I can't wait, it will be my first proper Easter since my aunt died almost 3 years ago,

As me and Joe walk hand in hand down the path to the back field with all our mates, we saw there were a lot of roadwork's going on near the motorway that we could see from the tree, as we hear the bell saying we could go home we all ran out of the school gates

We were off for 2 weeks

Finally!

Dianne- Joe, you go with the rest of them i'll meet you by the park in a few minuets

Joe- okay

We kissed and I ran back to the house, I could here some screaming coming from Zoe's room, she was due in about 2 weeks of so, as I ran upstairs I saw Alfie rubbing circles on Zoe's back

Dianne- Zoe?

Alfie- her waters have broke, she's in labour

He was panicking slightly

Dianne- have you called an ambulance?

Alfie- yes, hours ago but because of the road works they can't get here, and we can't get there, Tracey and Graham had gone out into the city to pick up the nursery things we had ordered so they're stuck

Suddenly everything that my Aunt had taught me came back to me, as she was a midwife and a nurse herself she taught me a few things, luckily Zoe was already in a large shirt, so she would be a tiny bit more comfortable

(I have no clue what I am going on about so just go along with it please)

Dianne- Right Zoe You need to lie on your back, slowly but surely

As she lay on her back I propped her up with some pillows

Dianne- Alfie, go and get me a warm towel

He rushed to the bathroom and came back in with a fresh clean warm towel,

Dianne- Remember what you learned at your lemaz classed, in and out, breathe

After a while I could see the head of the baby,

Dianne- Right Zoe, when you feel your next contraction I need you to push as long as you can, okay

Zoe- Di, I I can't do this, Alf you do it for me

Alfie- Zoe I would if I could

She suddenly had a contraction

Zoe- owwwwww,

Dianne- I need you to push Zoe

As she pushed, the baby started crying,

I saw how Alfie and Zoe looked at each other,

Dianne- congrats guys you've got a very healthy baby girl

As I handed her over to Zoe, i heard people burst into the rooms

Dianne- congrats Joe, your an uncle to a beautiful baby girl

Joe- and no-one thought to call us

Zoe- Do you want to hold her Joe

As she handed her over to Joe, I cleaned up my hand

Zoe- oww

Alfie- Zo, what's wrong?

Dianne- Zoe just push a bit more please, it's just your placenta

As she pushed some more her placenta came out

Stacey- how did you give birth

We all gave her a confusing look

Stacey- you know what i mean, there is no midwife and i didn't see an ambulance

Dianne- my aunt was a midwife and nurse so over the years she taught me a few things

Joe passed her carefully over to Alfie

Dianne- what are you going to call her

Alfie- we've called her

Hope you Enjoy x
