chapter 11

Bethany's POV

elvis and I recently bought a house in Hollywood it is a 3 story house with 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms .He also bought Vern and Gladys a house back at Memphis it was just beautiful elvis called it Graceland

One day I was folding Elvis's close when I found a letter in his pants 

"Baby I'm home!"elvis called thought out the house I quickly put the letter in my pocket before he entered the room

"Hey babe how was work"I said as he walked in the room he smiled

"It was fine just a lot of stress you know"he said taking his shoes off and placing them in the closet he came and hugged me I felt his hand go to my butt I quickly grabbed his hand

"E I'm not ready "I tell him he sighs and lays on the bed

"When will you be its been 4 years"he tells me I shake my head

"I don't it was a bad experience"I say he kisses my shoulder blade he doesn't know how badly I want him and I know he feels the same way

"I understand"he said I turn to face him and he kisses me sweetly

"So I have some News."he says

"I - I've  been drafted for the arm"he tells me I feel tears fall from my eyes

"How long have you known?"I ask him it was silence for a long time

"2 months"he says softy I get up from his hug I move to the bathroom

"Beth talk to me"he says as he follows me I shut the bathroom door and cry

"You kept this from me for 2 months"I say while I sob

"I'm sorry beth I couldn't tell you there were times I was gonna tell you but I just couldn't"I hear him say

"When do you leave?"I ask I was afraid of what he might say

"In 3 weeks"he tells me I open the door and hug him he hugs back tightly I cry on his chest

"Why elvis why do you have to leave"I mutter

"I have to baby I don't want to leave you"he tells me I look up in his eyes it looks like he was gonna Cry I stroke his cheek

"I'll be here for you"I tell him he smiles

Elvis POV

"Have you told your parents?"beth asked me as I pack my bag

"Yea mama was upset she couldn't stop crying"I tell her as I remember

"Oh Gladys"I hear beth whisper

"She couldn't stop crying daddy had to calm her down"I continue

"I'll miss you so much"she tells me I kiss her

"You know I'll miss you "I say I could tell she was trying not to cry

"Hey at least we have 3 weeks together"I say she half smiles

"Yea I guess that's the good part"she says I see her put a piece of gum in her mouth she always chews gum when she's mad or upset

"I'll try to get you and mama down in Germany as quick as I can I promise"I tell her

"E promise me you'll be fateful to me"she tells me I know it would be hard for me since in Germany there are so many women who know who I am

"I promise I will"I say I cup her cheeks she nods

"I don't want you to go E"she cries I bring her close to me I stroke her hair

"Hey don't cry okay I'll be fine and you know it"I tell her honestly

"I know you'll be okay"she says we hug for a long time until I pull away I kiss her forehead she smiles

"And when I come back home I'll come right to you"I tell her

"I know E"she says

I know this is hard for her since we got engaged its  hard for me to I don't want to leave her alone
