Elvis P.O.V

I can't believe Bethany said yes I really like her so I want everything to be perfect

"baby you need to get ready for church "ma said

"alright satin"I said then kissed her cheek

once I was done getting ready we headed to church most boys my age don't like church but I love it we walked in and we sat were we usually do and in the front row I saw Bethany she looked so beautiful the way she smiled at her family made me smile

"Elvis! " Dixie said

I forgot about Dixie

"Hi"I said as she hugged me.

"I didn't know you were coming"she said

"Dixie you know I always go to church "I said

just then Bethany came up to me

"Hey Elvis you go to this church?"she asked me

"Yeah everyone knows me here"I said she smiled

Dixie hit my arm

"aren't you gonna introduce us?"Dixie said

"Oh um Bethany this is Dixie my- "I said before Dixie cut me off

"girlfriend "she said

"Oh nice to meet you "Bethany said

they shook hands

"well Elvis I better get going see you tomorrow "Dixie said then kissed my cheek

"I'm sorry about her "I said as Dixie walked off

"no It's fine "she said

"she's not really my girlfriend we broke up ages ago she keeps telling people that"I said

she smiled

"baby come on "ma said

"I gotta go do you want to have lunch with us?"I asked her

"Sure I would love to"she said we both smiled I grabbed her hand

Bethany P.O.V

I was nervous to meet Elvis parents but he held my hand the whole time and my nerves disappeared

"mama I want you to meet someone "elvis said

"this is Bethany "he said

"Oh your the girl my son had been talking about It's so nice to meet you!"she said and hugged me

she was so sweet

"It's very nice to meet you to Mrs Presley "I said and smiled

"Oh please don't call me that call me Gladys or ma"she said

"Vern get over here"she said Elvis smiled

"this is Bethany the girl Elvis has been talking about " Gladys said

"nice to meet you "he said

"Same to you"I said

"I never thought my boy would find a mother Good southern girl like you well until Dixie and Elvis broke up"she said

"Gladys please "Vern said

"It's fine"Elvis said

after were ate lunch Elvis wanted me to come to his house but I need to go home
