It was a hot busy day and Camilla had just finished shopping and was heading to the cashier. Out of nowhere, a guy, tall and masculine with dark hair wearing fully zipped black leather jacket, skinny jeans, bike boots and dark shades came right before her and paid. The items seemed rather weird but anyway, it was none of her business. However, Camilla could not hold back a comment on the outfit considering it did not match the weather.

"Isn't it a bit too hot to be dressed like that?" The man simply glanced at her, paid up then left the store. "Rude, " She rolled her eyes and finished her business there then went her way.

She decided to pass by her favorite spot in the city, Ice Cream Palace to cool herself down. More so, her best friend since childhood worked there... though she had never gotten a discount. Strange. Either way, the company had always been amazing so she didn't mind. And besides, he appreciated her tips more than she would ever appreciate free ice cream from him.

Soon enough, she was there, making her order and of course, what better waiter to serve you than your best bud? She took her phone out and began going through her texts. She was supposed to meet her boyfriend later, but she had received a text from him informing her that he had traveled to see his parents. She was a bit bummed but said it was okay. After a few scoops of ice cream, she felt much better. There was nothing ice cream couldn't fix.

Later she texted her family friend Macy to see if she wanted to hang out. Macy said she was still working so Camilla decided to go to her pharmacy for a little while for the latest gossip, then head home maybe.

"Hey Josh! Bill please?" Camilla called out, ready to leave. Josh came over to her table a little while later with the bill. And as obvious, teased her a little bit for extra tip. Suddenly, a couple of guys entered the building and Camilla noticed sudden excitement rise in Josh. "What?" she was curious.

"Like what?" Josh tried to conceal his excitement.

"You look like your date to prom just walked in... and last time I checked you're not gay." She said in a matter of fact tone.

"Well, my boys and I have a game today. I'm getting off shift early... so I guess they are here to pick me up." He explained.

"Aaaw, like a bromance date or something?" Camilla teased him. He rolled his eyes playfully. "But you deserve it. You've been working so freiking hard, then again school... You need a break." He really did.

"I'm glad you think so." He sighed. "Anyway, thanks for the tip. Lemme help you with this- you went shopping today?" They had a little conversation till they got to the counter, and in the middle of a statement, she suddenly stopped in her tracks and went numb. Guess who was standing right in front of her? That's right... Her one and only, Parker. The supposedly traveled excuse of a boyfriend. She was so pissed.

"Really? That's just shallow, Parker. Even for you." She grabbed her shopping bag and stormed out of the building.

"Cammy, wait-" Parker ran after her. She wouldn't stop. She was furiously fast. No matter how much Parker called her name out, she wouldn't even slowed down. She passed swiftly through the crowded streets, but eventually, he caught up with her. "Camilla stop!" He said, holding her arm firmly, forcing her to turn around and face him.

"Let go of me." She struggled hard to keep her cool.

"Okay, but first you gotta listen to me." He said

"If you didn't wanna see me, you should have just said so." She pulled her arm out of his grip.

"No, you don't understand. It's not like that-" She didn't let him finish.

"And it wasn't even my idea, you're the one who asked to meet me." Her voice was rising and it was like she had no control over it.

"I know, but-" He tried.

"Just save it, okay? We're done." With that, she crossed the road without even looking. She wasn't even half way past when suddenly, an over-speeding motor cycle appeared out of nowhere, headed straight towards her. At the sight of that, Camilla froze. Her legs paralyzed, her heart racing... everything seemed to fade away, the noise of cars hooting and feet shuffling went silent. All that she could see and hear, was the motor cycle approaching her at a speed she could not even fathom. Her heart raced madly. She held her breath, eyes tightly shut expecting the worst.
