Hey guys... It's as I promised, frequent updates. I hope you enjoy it. And don't forget to stay safe during this period.

As the days passed by, Camilla constantly relived her past choices. She was being so hard on herself, and her dad's pressure to go and live with him only made matters worse. Though he was only trying to help.

Her hair was growing longer, and she just didn't know what to do with it. Luckily, she knew someone who did.

Bill's wife was so excited to see her. Even her baby kicked more than usual. They talked for a while, catching up as she did her hair... Just like all other people, she was surprised to see her new look. Curious too. But Camilla didn't want to talk about it much.

Since Camilla felt as if there was no colour in her world currently, she decided it would not be the same for her hair. Positivity, am I right? So she did a blend of aqua green and purple. It looked amazing, and her skin color went perfectly with it.

"Thanks so much, aunt... I love it." She said, feeling her hair. So silky and colorful. Just then, Laura's water broke. "Uh-oh," Camilla helped her to the living room. "Is the baby coming now?" She panicked.

"No, we still have time... About a day or two." She explained.

"Should I call uncle Bill?" Camilla was so concerned.

"No need to bother him," Laura smiled sweetly.

"I shouldn't have overworked you in this condition. I'm so sorry," she felt guilty.

"Darling, when it's time, it's time. This is in no way your fault." She patted her softly. "Didn't you tell me you had to go home for something? I wouldn't want to keep you here."

"What are you talking about? I'm not leaving you alone in this state. What if you go into labor? No way." She made sense.

"I'll be fine," Laura assured Camilla, but she wouldn't take it. She stayed, made her food but her appetite wasn't as strong. She tried her best to keep her as comfortable as possible. Bill came home in the evening, and was excited when they told him the news. Laura went to bed early that night, but couldn't sleep.

Camilla went into the room she used to sleep in when she lived there, and it was so cute. Since they didn't know the gender yet, they decorated it with yellow. The cot was adorable with shelves on the side full of toys and animal dolls and bed time story books. There was a couch by the cot, where Camilla assumed that Laura would be sitting while breastfeeding it. The colors blended so well. She loved it. The room was bright, yet so calm. She could only imagine what it would look like when the sun came in through the light curtains. They had really taken their time to plan this. Even baby clothes and shawls were in the drawers. She picked some beddings in the spare compartment then went to sleep on the couch.

It was around half past midnight when sounds of pain woke Camilla up. Laura was in labour. She rushed to her room, and found Bill sweating even more than his wife. He was so confused, he didn't know what to do. There was no way he would be able to drive.

Still in their pyjamas, they helped Laura into the car. No matter what Bill did or how much he tried, nothing would make Laura feel better.

"Breathe," Camilla kept telling her. She got the keys, while Bill and Laura settled at the back seat. She drove them safely to the hospital then handed the matter over to the  doctors.

Bill wouldn't stop pacing back and forth, questioning every doctor that came out of that delivery room. Five hours of waiting anxiously passed slowly, and finally; at sunrise, they heard the cry of a baby. Relief flooded into Bill's heart and he knelt in gratitude. Camilla went over to him, tears of joy flowing down her rosy cheeks.

Soon after, they were called into the room to meet the new mister. Yes, they were expecting a girl; but they didn't even care. They were happy either way.

Due to some complications while giving birth, Laura was hospitalized for longer than intended. Camilla felt the two needed some family time together, so she excused herself. Laura was so happy she was there though. And so was she.

The sun didn't stay for long. Clouds were forming and the temperature fell rapidly. Since she had to leave her uncle the car, she froze in her spaghetti top and pyjama pants walking around the streets. And of all people she could have ran into that morning, Martin just happened to be the one.

"Did you sleep walk all the way here?" He mocked.

"Very funny." She said, rubbing her arms to generate heat.

"Here," he took off his leather jacket. "Have it."

"No thanks," it was taking all her energy to keep her from chattering her teeth.

"I bet your ego won't keep you from catching a cold so don't be stubborn," he had a point. Unwillingly, she agreed.

"What's this?" She spotted a logo she had noticed on his bike."

"It's nothing," he said as they crossed the road to his bike. "Need a ride?"

"No thanks, I'm almost there anyway." She said; this time ego-free. He put his helmet on.

"Your loss," he started his engine.

"Oh I've seen how you ride." She stepped back. "I'll be sure to call you when I think of committing suicide but I'm too scared to do it myself." He laughed, then rode away.

Camilla got to her uncle's house, tidied up a bit, freshened up then left. Before heading home, she passed through the hospital to drop the house keys and seeing the baby one more time. She was scared to hold him at first, but he warmed up to her. Camilla found his tiny body parts so cute. She couldn't stop smiling.

After experiencing all that, the motherly bond between Laura and her son... it finally drove her to keep the promise she had made to her father. Ava had definitely had been through so much for her, she needed to cut her some slack. Her heart softened, her ego fell, and she went back home.

Hey guys, I hope you enjoy this... I felt after too much negative events, something cute would neutralize the story. Stay safe
