Hello, my lovelies. It's been a while since I've written... Did you miss me? Anyway, I hope you like it this chapter. Do comment, vote and share.

Liam was very nervous about this plan of his brother's.  Sneaking in wasn't the smartest idea. He tried many ways to talk him out of it, but he wouldn't listen.

He had just found out the location of his base. The only underground place that could hold such devices. And honestly, there weren't many abandoned places with underground parking lots. Either it was an old modern structure, or a new building recreated over an ancient one.

Lucky for them, he had just gotten a place that matched the profile. And with every modern building, there is always a back door. Only if they looked carefully.

"Found it!" Liam alerted.

"Shhhh!" X silenced him. "We don't want to let them know that we are coming."

"Sorry," he whispered. This back door was well hidden. Ancient metal work so they were right. It was really covered with dirt. It was like nobody even knew it existed. Or, everyone who did was probably dead. They took all the dirt off of it. "This place is constantly damp, it should be infested with rust by now."

"This isn't iron. It's a-" Liam thought for a while... "You wouldn't get it." X rolled his eyes. Now, due to the condition of that door, not been oiled for probably years, it would make one hell of a noise when opened, so they had to wait.

Lycah made his usual call. X's background was foresty, just like normal so he wouldn't suspect a thing. He made X play his usual game. And by luck... Or not, he chose electric shock. The noise of the voltage passing through and Camilla's screams on his side acted like a distraction from hearing them. So on X's cue, he opened the door, and the same when he closed it.

X played along for the next few minutes. But of course, Lycah was quite suspicious of how calm X was that day. And it irked him. Had he grown numb so quick? Given up on her? No! What was the point of these games then? But as much as his attitude towards the situation har changed, the way he spoke to Camilla hadn't. Right then, he knew something was up.

One mistake X made was to use the normal path to Lycah's base. Of course he recognized it in his background.

"You think you're smart, aren't you?" He hang up. I knew it was a bad idea to move around! X face-palmed himself. He rushed back to his base to follow up with the plan but there was something wrong.

Darkness thrived and temperatures fell as Liam headed down the old, creaky stairs. "I swear I've seen these stairs in a horror movie before," he was almost more scared of that current place than of the mission itself. He went deeper and deeper, but he could not use a flashlight lest he alarmed the guards.

Finally, he came to flat ground. Using his other senses he found himself a secure place to set up his equipment. But to his surprise, there was no signal there. The depth of his location from ground level must have been affecting it. Plus the metal the door was made of must have been acting like a barrier. And no connection meant no reaching out to X. He was on his own.

Liam kept thinking of abandoning this mission. It could cost him his life. But how would he come out? He could get caught easily. He had to wait for the next day, the events playing out as it did earlier that day.

Meanwhile, he couldn't just sit around waiting. He decided to look around. Find any little information that could help them. He honestly didn't want to be a part of all this, but the sooner he got it done, the sooner he got his freedom back.

So with his little flashlight, he walked around, mentally drawing maps and taking notes. He got used to it eventually and realized it wasn't so scary after all. He had gotten far, he actually thought he had a shot at this.

Liam had gotten close enough to hear people talk. He followed them closely to find out where Camilla was being kept. Suddenly, his phone buzzed. That caught their attention. Of all places, now? Why is there even a signal here?

"Get him!" And the chase began. There is nothing less fun than an entire crew chasing you through a dark, damp, underground base. It was a good thing he was faster, and at an advantage because he had been there recently. He knew where every tunnel led. But it was like they had never been that far.

He ran until he came to flight of stairs. Well, guess my departure came sooner than anticipated. He was headed right for the door. And it was heavy to open, but he managed to. However, just before he took a step further, he met Lycah standing there with his goons.

"X forgot to cover the unearthed area, didn't he?" He concluded.

"Yup." Lycah nodded. The other men caught up behind him. There was no escape from this. He surrendered. His equipment was seized. Then he was taken to where Camilla was held.

"Oh, wow! You look even worse in real life!" He exclaimed as he got chained to Lycah's chair. Camilla was too weak to even respond. "Is she dead?"

"Don't be silly," Lycah said. "I'm sorry we don't have facilities enough for the both of you. We only serve one victim at a time."

"I'm not complaining." Liam was relieved. The last thing he needed was to be in Camilla's place.

"And now, to inform our brother of our little family reunion."

Hey guys... A bit short, I know. But I'm back, and rest assured more chapters are coming. Please keep reading, and I'm sorry for the long term silence.
