Hi there... Another chapter for my favorite readers. Thanks for taking the time to read my work. I try my best not to disappoint. Enjoy.
Lexan? Camilla thought. So he's not Martin?
"Oh, pardon me... I believe you refer to him as 'X'?" He cleared her thoughts. Hm. I wasn't that far of... I never would have guessed that, but X sort of sounds like Lex. "And I've also been told you've never seen his face." He took a dramatic pause. Mike really sang like a little birdy, didn't he? Even the smallest of details? "Well, I'm here to quench your curiosity." He grabbed her by the cheek, and pulled her close to his face.
"Take a good look at here, sweetheart. Coz at this moment, you're looking at a perfect replica of him." Camilla's eyes widened. Of course she longed to see what he looked like, but definitely not the evil, psycho version of him.
"You're nothing like X." She spat out.
"Oh, so she speaks." He said, amused. "How would you know, you've never seen his face." He let go of her.
"I've seen his eyes. Bright, like the ocean's reflection of the clear blue sky." She spoke boldly. " "But yours;" she hissed. "Yours are darker than a starless midnight."
"Oh yes... I was blessed with better eyes." He boasted. He was wrong. "However, I wasn't informed that you were poetic." He smirked. "But it's fine... I do love surprises." Camilla was so disgusted by him. He hated every part of him.
"Oh, would you look at that?" He touched her chain. "Looks like I was beaten to you." His hand went to the logo on her leather jacket as well. "Oh, and not just by one." Then he saw her wrists and thumb. "Are you trying to start another world war, because, let me just say, you are off to a healthy start." Then he went behind her, and lifted the jacket. "Now this, this is the only one I was aware of." He touched the tattoo, but she moved.
Camilla was puzzled. She had no idea what he was talking about. Maybe he was just trying to get to her head. Well, she decided, she wouldn't give him the pleasure. She maintained her composure and ignored everything he had to say.
"How's Andrew?" This got her attention. "I heard he had a little accident." He walked towards a metalic seat a little distant from her. "Did he ever find out who sabotaged his bike?" How would he know that? Even she didn't know that. Camilla was now understanding something. This guy, he was a big guy. Influencial. If he knew what was happening halfway across the country, he definitely had strong connections.
"I don't know what you're talking about." She said ignorantly.
"Oh really now?" He dragged the chair in such an intimidating way, and it made a loud noise that wouldn't stop echoing. "But you're wearing his ring, aren't you?"
"It's just a ring." She said. Lycah laughed.
"Let me ask you something. When a guy gives a girl a ring, what does it normally mean?" He faced it backwards and sat on it, facing her.
She thought for a moment, then instantly knew what it meant. "No, it's not like that." She defended herself.
"Oh, but it is." He leaned forward. "And here I thought you were smart." He sighed. "I wonder what he'd do when he found out his step brother did the same to you."
"Andrew's your brother?" This was just blowing her mind... And not in a good way.
"Oh, lord no!" He faced away in disgust. "He's the brother of your boyfriend's mortal enemy." Isn't that you? She thought. "Martin." It just keeps getting better and better.
"What!" She did not see that coming.
"It's a chain, really. Lexan's my biggest rival. Martin is his, Andrew is Martin's, and now, Jack is Andrew's."
"Jack? I thought they were friends."
"They were, until Andrew find out he was trying to take him out from the inside. He is the one who sabotaged his bike. Tried to kill him so he would take over." He explained.
"And why are Andrew and Martin rivals?" She was curious.
"Well, let's have a little history lesson, shall we?" He got comfortable. "Barry used to have the most powerful gang in the whole of the west. Drugs, money, weapons... He ran them all. He found Andrew in the street as a little boy, took him in and trained him to be his best 'soldier'. He treated him like a son. He was his most loyal servant, and even when he died, he was at his right hand.
"And where does Martin come in?" She interrupted.
"Shut up, I'm telling the story." He took a deep breath. "Around three years before he found Andrew, his wife had a baby, Martin. They were happy for a while until during one raid, Martin's mother got killed. And there he decided, this kind of life was too risky. So he sent his son to grow up in the east with his wife's relatives, but he supported them financially in every way. He just couldn't see him. But since he had built an empire, he thought it would be a waste to let it all die along with him. And that's where Andrew came in. He craved the presence of a son, without endangering his own. He did his best to ensure that Martin had a normal life.
But on his deathbed, he summoned him. And since Martin found out about his father's legacy, he's been wanting it. That's how he started his own crew. To get it back from Andrew. He believes he was the rightful heir, and he hated his father for giving it to a stranger."
Well that was a lot to take in. And he wasn't even done.
"So each of them went for a weapon that was sure to bring whoever possessed it victory." He took a dramatic pause. "You."
"Me? What do I have to do with this?"
"Martin claimed you first. The jacket. Then Andrew, his ring. And they are not the only ones." He stood up. "I think Jack hoped he'd get lucky or something... That bandana."
"No. He just gave it to me..." It then crossed her mind. He only opened up to her when he saw where she lived. Where Dr. Kerm lived. Then he gave her the bandana.
"Even the bandits?" He touched her necklace. Could they have left it behind on purpose? Was the entire robbery a scam? She had so many questions. All these items; one way or another, were recruitments into gangs and she didn't even know... Apart from the tattoo, of course. And even that she knew after it was too late.
"Wow, I don't think there's anything on demand more than you!" He laughed. "And would you look at that," he touched her bracelet. Not him too! Parker wasn't handling the rejection quite well. So Ian took advantage of that situation, and thanks to his vulnerablility, he jumped at the opportunity for revenge.
Ian convinced him to join the crew he was in and accomplish the mission he had failed. Apparently, he too was just following orders. Finding a way to bring her to them. Looks like Parker was successful.
"Saved the best for last." This man seemed to know everything about every gang there is. That explained why he managed to stay on top... Or so she thought. "The only bondage that cannot be taken off." True. All the rest were accessories. "And the first too." He stayed silent for a while. "In his mind, you are his. How will he handle all the betrayal?" There he went again. Messing with her mind.
"But most important question of all; will he be strong enough to keep you on his side?"
Guys, I hope the too much details won't turn you off. I just thought it was about time for the revelation. Let me know what you think in the comments.
Sweet LOVE;)
