3: The Forced Proposal

Chapter 3:

Ashley POV:

" 'The day I first met you

   You told me you never fall in love!' "

"That was Ashley Turner with her new #1 Hit Single in the UK!" James Everton announced through the mike. He looked at me and smiled at me, I smiled back.

I was at the Hits Radio studios and I had a live interview with James Everton. After releasing my hit single Give Your Heart A Break, it reached the number one on the top charts almost instantly and it ended up being my hit single and I was so proud of my work and the lyrics written by the amazing writers I was blessed to work with.

"Any Ashley fans out there that are listening to us at the moment, surprise surpise we have Ashley right here with us!" James said and I chuckled into the microphone I had in front of me. "Hello Ashley!"

"Hi!" I said nervously through the mike.

"You sound nervous."

"Who said I'm not?" I asked him sarcastically and he chuckled and rolled his eyes.

"How is it all going? The fame? Fans? Attention? Is it positive or not?" he asked me.

"Well, that really depends," I said timidly. 

"How so?"

"I'm not saying it's not good and fun and it's a huge experience but sometimes some people take it to high extremes and bug you all the time and follow you around, are obsessed to know what you're doing so that they go and write an article about you filled with lies and very stupid things, in my opinion," I said and he nodded.

"That's the disadvantage that fame brings," he said and I shrugged. "But let's put that negativity aside!"

"Gladly!" I said cheerfully and he grinned.

"Any romance going on?" he asked and I raised my eye brows at him.

"Nope."

"Oh, male fans out there, keep your hopes up, Ashley is still single!" James said through the mike and I laughed and rolled my eyes. "Have you met any idols of yours or famous people?"

"Yeah," I said and cleared my throat silently. "Um ... I met One Direction a few times while recording my song and a few other times when I went to meet Simon and they were either leaving or arriving, I met Demi Lovato, she's such an amazing person! And I met Selena Gomez, Danny O'donoghue and P!nk once."

"You met Danny?" James asked me.

"Yeah, it was a very weird meeting actually, the hi, how are you, bye type of conversation, he was extremely busy and he didn't really have the time for chit chat and neither did I."

"Huh, time flies by, our interview is over but!" James said and I smirked. "The radio player is yours for the next thirty minutes!"

"Woohoo!" I said and smiled. 

I clicked on the the song Hall Of Fame by The Script and then clicked on Both Of Us by B.o.B.ft.Taylor Swift and Dark Side by Kelly Clarkson to play after them.

*At 9pm later that day

I heard my cell phone ringing and I stretched my arms forward and without reading the I.D caller I clicked on the green button.

'Yeah?" I asked and rubbed my forehead.

'Ash, are you busy?' Colin asked, on the other line, sounding panicked and in a hurry.

'Um, that depends,' I said sarcastically. 'If you put eating Ben and Jerry's cookie dough ice cream and watching movies under the section busy, then yes.'
