1: Winning It

Chapter 1:

Ashley POV:

"Skies are crying, I’m watching
Catching tear drops in my hands
Only silence as it’s ending

XFactor 2013, the finals.

Can't believe that i have made it this far. 

Colin Evers and me, Ashley Turner. The two major finalists of XFactor 2013. 

We were told to choose a song of our choice for the final and I decided on the song Skyscraper by Demi Lovato, she's a huge inspiration for me and we kind of have a similiar childhood with all the bullies and cutting but I've left that all behind me and decided on starting a new chapter in my life. 

My mentor was Simon Cowell whilst Colin's was Cheryl Cole. Big competition, if you ask me but Colin and I were always close during the live shows but there's still that tension of competition between us. 

"Ashley, I don't care about your friendship with Colin, you have to stay strong, show your beautiful voice and wow the crowd so that you could be the winner. Don't let the guilt of hurting him stop you," Simon said while practising my song.

"I won't!" I said and he nodded and patted my back and casually walked out of the room and let me and my voice coach practise.

I sighed in relief and smiled at how I hit the notes perfectly. All four judges rose up and clapped at my amazing performance, the crowd screamed and I saw charts with my face on them and other's holding Colin's.

Colin had already performed before me. He sang Use Somebody by Kings of Leon and I'm 101% sure that his performance was better than mine and that he would win this competition. 

"Ashley, I'm really proud of you, I never thought that you would make it this far but I always knew that you had that mystery special potential," Simon said and I smiled.

"Wow, I don't even know what to say," Cheryl said with her accent. "You left me speechless!"

"Thank you," I said with a huge grin on my face.

"That was yet another amazing performance," Louis said.

"That was one amazing performance," Tulisa said with a smile on her lips. "Now we just have to wait and see who's the winner!"

I smiled, waved to the crowd and walked off the stage and was greeted by Colin's huge hug.

"You're so going to win this," Coling said proudly.

I chuckled and shook my head.

"Your performance was much much much more better than mine and don't you dare argue with that!" I said and he smirked and I rolled my eyes.

"We'll just have to wait and see then, don't we?" he said and I rolled my eyes.

After what felt like forever we were called back on stage to know who the winner was. Simon and Cheryl both came backstage so that they come out with us.

Colin came out from the right-sided door while I came out from the left-sided door.

"Colin Evers with Cheryl Cole," Dermot O'Leary, the host, said through the microphone and the right-sided door opened and Coling came out, holding hands with Cheryl.

"Ashley Turner with Simon Cowell," Dermot said through the microphone and the doors opened in front of my eyes and the crowd cheered and screamed and I saw Coling looking at me with a huge smile on his face, I smiled back and Simon pulled me softly down the steps and my legs started shaking and I positioned myself next to Colin.

"The time of truth is finally here," he continued and I sighed shakily and smiled at the crowd and I felt my hand being squeezed, I looked on my right and saw Colin.

"Goodluck," he mouthed and I smiled.

"Goodluck," I mouthed back.

"The winner, of XFactor 2013 is," Dermot said and my heart rate increased rapidly, my hands started shaking and I felt Colin's hand trembling in mine and I squeezed it for comfort, he squeezed it back, the crowd screamed so loud.

Dermot's mouth opened and the name that came out was nothing that I was expecting.

"ASHLEY!" Dermot screamed through the microphone and my eyes widened and tears welled up in my eyes, tears of joy.

Colin engulfed me into a hug.

"I told you," he said and I squeezed him back.

"Oh my God," I said and Simon hugged me and Cheryl congratulated me and Simon. Louis and Tulisa were standing up clapping at the judge's panel.

"Ashley Turner, the new winner for XFactor 2013!" Dermot said and I wiped my eyes and waved at the crowd. "Ashley, how are you feeling?"

"I ... the feeling is just amazing and words cannot explain!" I said, the host chuckled.

Dermot moved on to Colin and asked him questions and then asked Cheryl question and then they moved off stage and he walked towards me and Simon and waved a CD in my face.

"Your Winning Hit Single, Skyscraper!" he said and my mouth gaped open. 

"Oh my God!" I squealed and Simon and Dermot both chuckled. "This is just unbelievable! I can't believe that this is actually happening, this is just an amazing experience and to win it ... it's just ridiculous! It's unbelievable, an unbelievable and amazing feeling that I never thought I could feel, I'd like to thank everyone that helped me and believed in me and especially Simon!"

Dermot smiled at me and handed me the CD, said a last few words and I walked backstage and ran to hug my relatives.

"I'm so proud of you Ash," my mother said and showered me with kisses.

This was never going to sink in. 

Me winning XFactor? It was crazy.

So this is my new fanfic :) It's One Direction related :) Hope you like it and I've actually planned this story out a bit, I just need to continue planning it on and it's supposed to be fine and I'm not supposed to have any writer's block (Y)
